    • Drain hose will get punctured and leak and flood house! Design flaw!
Bought the matching pair. The dryer didn't work from the start and I had to have repair come in, after I bought a lint cleaning kit to clean the duct as they won't work on it without doing that first. No debris and new house but they didn't care...dryer had part not assembled internally causing D80/D90 fault codes...he fixed that and dryer was good. Now onto the washer...It has a drain hose that runs vertically up the back (inside the machine) and out to your drain. The hose is right behind two sharp plastic tabs on the motor for the drum. This drum moves freely as it washes as it should, and that makes the tabs on the back of the motor poke into the drain hose on the back during normal washing. So it might not leak right away, but give it a few weeks and you will find a pond....or water flowing through your finished ceiling below it. DO NOT BUY unless you plan to fix this before use with some shielding. If you own it, check it by removing the panel. ... show more

Loving this washer! It’s huge and it can wash my king size bedding in one load. It has a steam/allergen setting, perfect for bedding. It is extremely quietly, energy efficient, and has many different wash cycles. Only 2-3 tablespoons of detergent are required per load, and although a prewash cycle is an option, I have never used it as it cleans so well. It is a big machine and we didn’t purchase pedestals, as we have cabinets above the washer/dryer, and with pedestals they would not fit. My husband and I are both tall and have no issue with this.     • Worked pretty well for three years, but the "warranty" is a fraud
The washer worked well for just over three years, and then the motor failed. The motor was supposed to be covered by a ten year warranty. Unfortunately, LG will not pay for labor required to replace the motor, and the bad part (a "stator") was on back order from LG which means that customers get to wait 30 to 45 days minimum before the part is due to be replaced. Asking customers to wait 6 weeks to do their laundry, and then still pay $175 for the repair, is NOT living up to the warranty agreement. LG does not stand behind its product, and essentially steals money from customers out of the purchase price by promising warranty parts that it might never actually deliver. ... show more

    • Didn’t work out of the box and LG doesn’t care
From the first load of laundry the spin cycle sounded like machine gun fire. . It is not the result of an uneven or unbalanced load-I’ve been using front load machines for about 12 years. This machine is just messed up. LG sent technicians to my home who videotaped it, checked it out, and told LG something is wrong, although they couldn’t identify the cause. They did this over the phone in my presence so I know it happened that way. LG has refused to make this right. At one time they wanted to replace some parts and I told them “No, if I wanted a rebuilt machine I would have bought one, it didn’t work out of the box so I want it replaced”. They reluctantly agreed that I had cause and said if I send a copy of the receipt they will arrange for the return and replacement. I sent the receipt, then they decided not to authorize the return. Fortunately, the retailer is taking care of their customers so I’m not stuck with it ... show more

The media could not be loaded. We purchased this LG set 3 weeks ago and the washer is holding water in the soap/softener dispenser. Now mold is growing in it. I can't return it to the store because it's been more than 2 weeks. Customer service just recommended to do a tub clean cycle with oxy clean. I wish someone had posted pictures about this issue before we purchased this set. DON'T BUY IT!!!!! ... show more

    • Junk from day one. LG won’t support.
The media could not be loaded. Bought and stored until the hose was finished. Didn’t work right from day one, unuseable. HD referred us to the extended warranty company. After weeks, they finally agreed to service it. Called in sick the day of the first appointment and couldn’t come back out for another week. Left after awhile, not saying anything. I find out later the technician says it’s a LG issue. I’ve gone round and round with everyone. No one will claim responsibility for repairing it even though I purchased a 5yr extended warranty. Our other LG washer has failed twice. I’d recommend another brand. ... show more
