  • The BEST way to get an almost new, replacement, or backup LG G7 ThinQ Smartphone
Wireless Provider: Verizon Color: Gray/Platinum Memory Storage Capacity: 64 GB
I purchased my LG G7 ThinQ Smartphone new from Verizon in June of 2018. I LOVED the phone because the voice call quality is second to none AND the super brightness feature makes the outdoor view in bright sunlight manageable. Unfortunately, I accidentally dropped my phone several times on my concrete garage floor. From day one, I had a Unicorn Beetle protective case. Recently, I went to clean my phone case and discover I had a cracked back. Nothing major but I depend on my phone for business. Also, my battery was not staying charged very long as I'm a power user (on the phone 10-12 hours 5 days a week. Everything worked flawlessly otherwise including voice quality and cell phone reception. So, I decided to go to UbreakIfix for a new back and a new battery. They had to order the parts with a deposit require in-store. That took about a week to get. Then, I went into the store on a Saturday with my wife. The phone was repaired after two and a half hours of work. To our surprise, the screen (which had no damage) had clouds all over the display and it wouldn't stay connected to my phone network. They said they would order a new screen and install it for free. But, they would have to order a screen and that would take another week. Then, I would have to drop my phone off again. Since my wife and I live 30 minutes away, that's an hour travel time plus two and a half hours for repairs. They offered a refund with their 90 day warranty. Out the door with tax we paid just under $115. If we had to repair the screen, I don't know how much that would have been. A hard lesson learned! We could have bought a refurbished phone that actually works and bought a spare too. Which is our next plan. The refurbished phone was at 50% charge out of the box. It came in a refurbished box with an aftermarket white wall phone charger (2.0A) and USB-C chaging cable. That means it supports Quick Charge technology like the original! The phone had NO scratches or issues whatsover. It came with protective cover on the screen, like it did when it was new. I followed the instructions from Verizon on changing to a new device. You need to back up to the Verizon Cloud or a Google Gmail account first. Also, you'll need to swap your SIM card and your SD card (if equipped) from your old phone, requiring a paper clip or safety pin (not included). With the backup, changing device research and step-by-step process, and making sure both phones were fully charged took under two hours. I was NOT able to retain my apps or the customized home screen. So, that requires a little bit of retweaking (about 30-45 minutes). Voice was is exceptional and the battery life is just as good as when my original was brand new. All in all, I have had ZERO issues and was able to get back up to speed again. My advice: Get the best phone case and screen protector you can. Buy a back-up phone in case you need it. My local Verizon store no longer offers replacements but Verizon supports the LG G7 ThinQ. Even with two phones (around $340.77 with tax plus a phone case), you just can't beat it! The alternative is to get something current and new that is equivalent from Verizon or online. That will cost you though. New competitive phones run about $750 each. Again, two phones is the way to go if you depend on your phone like I do and want to ensure you have minimal downtime. The experience I had with cell phone repair was not a great one...you just can't trust your device will be fixed correctly. My wife felt nervous about receiving a refurbished phone. I'm sure some others somewhere "might" have had some issues. However, my experience has been a blessing! So, I really recommend this solution. It was affordable (all things considered) and saves your valuable time (you can activate your phone without having to go into a Verizon store at all). I really did NOT want to upgrade to any other new phone. I really LOVE my LG G7 ThinQ and now I can keep using this platform (until they no longer support the device at Verizon or technology changes so much that it no longer makes sense to keep it). ... show more

  • Phone is awesome & works great.
Wireless Provider: Verizon Color: Gray/Platinum Memory Storage Capacity: 64 GB
I think the Samsung Galaxy S10e has the best audio and video recordings I ever experienced. Being able to calibrate the audio to your actual hearing capabilities allows me to hear everything so clearly. Having a phone that knows your ears is priceless. When I wear headphones plugged into Galaxy S10e and watch the videos taken on this device from my live acoustic guitar performances, the phone panorama exactly the way I heard it that day... It's amazing quality. Not to mention the video itself is so beautiful and clear! I also love how the battery lasts for days without needing recharging! I also own a galaxy S8 and I have to say, whatever you guys are doing at Samsung, keep doing it! You guys rock! Also wanna thank Amazon for making it easy to find what I wanted, order it simply & the product arrive on time without damages. ... show more

  • Packing was iffy looking, and no OEM rapid charger, but otherwise good initially
Wireless Provider: Verizon Color: Gray/Platinum Memory Storage Capacity: 64 GB
Initial review (will update after using for a bit) 1. Iffy packing by the look of it. phone was able to rattle around in box, not secured. BUT - nothing was scratched, and nothing seemed out of order or injured. So I guess don't judge a book by it's cover. 2. No manual. No OEM rapid charger. Charger was a rather generic standard charger with no name brand to indicate even a 3rd party seller, but it does seem to work fine...so far. It is not a rapid charger, but I have heard that rapid charging a phone can eventually lower battery life, so maybe this is good in the end? 3. Sticky substance on phone when taken out of package. This was able to be wiped off, and after cleaning I found no scratches or any other problem. Once clean it looked like it was right out of the original box when new. 4. Loaded all my apps and all the customizations I like to have, and it seems to be working fine. Apps load quick enough, and I can't tell that there's lag. A couple of the games I use are 3D heavy, or are graphic heavy, and the G7 seems to be handling them just fine. Not finding any over-heating issues, as well. So far it seems like this is going to be a solid purchase. I'll be testing battery life today to see how it holds up, but so far that is the only thing I am unsure of. If the battery holds up, then the initial thought is that this was a very good purchase, and worth recommending to others. FYI - Read the description. The seller is very transparent about it being locked to the Verizon network. This is not a problem for me, since that is the network I use. If not.....the seller has warned you! OK UPDATE TO REVIEW FOR SHORT TERM USE: Started use on Tuesday, it's now Saturday. 1. The battery is deplorable. Period. At first I thought.....oh this is a used phone, maybe the seller gave me a something that wasn't tested, etc. I searched several reviews, though, and it seems someone at LG either had a really bad day, and put in a horrible battery on purpose, or a typo that meant to say 3500mah battery and accidentally put 3000mah battery. Maybe it was a decision everyone agreed on. IDK, but wow LG really screwed the pooch on this one! I have a smart watch attached, do some gaming with relatively heavy graphic use games (not hardcore - it's King's Raid and Summoner's War), I let a few services run in the background, and I message and check social media on a fairly regular basis. With my use I can get through a workday ( I don't do very much gaming at work), but I am looking for a charger the moment I get home. Again, I don't think this is the seller's problem, this is squarely on LG, and they messed up! This is supposed to be a flagship, or very near flagship, level of phone =/ 2. Overall use (other than battery life) has been very good. No hiccups at all. No frozen screen, no need to have to power cycle for some weird reason. I've seen on another LG phone that they have a mode for gaming that lowers screen brightness and puts the phone almost in a semi-standby mode to allow the game to run. I like this feature, and with as horrible as the battery is, it is a must! Thoughts after a few days use - Very good quality phone, the exception being the battery. If you have easy and regular access to chargers at home and work, then maybe the battery might affect you much. The build quality of the rest of the phone is very good. IMO, it is a very good looking phone, if that is something you look for. If the battery was better, this would be a top notch phone. I am going to keep the phone, but I am currently looking for one of those battery cases that has a battery built into the case itself. UPDATE TO INITIAL REVIEW 11/0219: Ok, so I've had it for a few months now. Battery is still iffy, but I changed screen brightness to 70% and no longer have to worry so much. The trade off is it's just about impossible to see the screen outside in full sunlight. Still a phone worth having, with the drawback of the battery. Still worth the buy after long time use. ... show more

I bought this and had it activated so I could give it to a homeless vet that used to be my neighbor. Good guy.. just having a tough time. But he doesn't have to worry about having a phone anymore... I took care of that part.. Hang in there Mark!

  • I really haven't had it long enough yet, great so far
Wireless Provider: Verizon Color: Gray/Platinum Memory Storage Capacity: 64 GB
Like I said I haven't used it much yet, it seems to be in good shape, & working right, it's to bad they are going out of business in a couple years, J.S. it would have been nice if the IMEI # was in the box, as you ( I ) can't access it without setting the phone up first, & which you need if your going to use a prepaid plan, but it all worked out. Thanks for the great product. J. S. ... show more

  • This does not work on xfinity Or AT&T
Wireless Provider: Verizon Color: Gray/Platinum Memory Storage Capacity: 64 GB
Make sure your Carrier supports this model and version. AT&T said they only support 5G. Xfinity said it was not unlocked, but I got a different phone and they said the same thing. The manager got involved and made it work.
