  • Getting more bang for your buck!
Color: Raspberry Rose
I love LG! I've purchased about 4 LG G7 phones now, all replacements due to my own fault, as well as a LG G8. The 2 phones are very similar, the only thing is the camera might be better on the G8 and I like the size of the screen better on the G8, but the G7 is totally worth buying, especially if its for someone like me, who brakes phones all the time. You can tell the quality difference between Note 10 or iphone 11 pictures, but its also a huge price leap, but as for phones in it's class, i think the G7 excels any phones in it's class and could be compared more to the high end ones(although does not beat them, but is impressive non the less). Battery is far better than the Note 10. If I'm not working a charge can last me almost 2 days, when im working I constantly have maps on for directions and my work app and my phone is open with the screen on the whole time with me multitasking on it and a full charge lasts me about 8-10 hours when the phones are several months old, new phones lasts a bit longer. The screen quality is crystal clear and details are very crisp. 2 of the G7s I've had took quite a beating without a case before the screen cracked (I'm talking 6 feet drops on concrete and didn't do anything to it). I drop my phone alot, and even when it's already cracked, it still holds up well to more cracking. I do wish it wasn't glass on the back of it, although it feels sleek and I love the feel compared to plastic and is why I have a hard time putting cases on it. It multi tasks well, no lag time as long as you keep it clean. Plenty of memory for me at least and I have 17 gigs of pictures on it and I have alot of apps downloaded. Fingerprint reader works everytime but I don't use the face unlock feature so I don't know about that one. It has a LG store I think it is that you can get free and purchased themes on your phone and if they charge for them its usually 99 cents. There is a handy fitness tracker that keeps track of your daily steps and lets you see how active youve been ( a great toll to help with weight loss and staying in shape) and clocks how far you've gone. Not too sure what else is in the LG store but it comes pre-installed. This is an excellent phone at the price its at. I wish LG was still making them and I'm going to miss them when they are obsolete. I even choose to repurchase the G7 or G8 over a new phone at the same price range and the only way i'd get a different brand is if I was offered an iPhone 11 or 12 at the same price , which isnt going to happen and I wont pay the difference in price, its not that much of an upgrade in phone to make it worth the price difference. Excellent all around phone. Highly recommend it! ... show more

  • Extreme Value, Platinum Gray Phone
Color: Platinum Gray
I had a Samsung S7 Edge that had been a great phone, but the battery was not holding a charge more than 5-6 hours. I investigated online and to replace the battery with one that was the same quality as the OEM item, I would have to pay $90. Or I could use the $90 toward a different phone. I had been looking at reviews of the idea of purchasing what was a flagship phone just 1-2 years ago, but now recently severely discounted or refurbished/renewed. I have been hesitant to purchase renewed products like this, but my employer has purchased tablets, monitors, and video cameras like this and has never needed to return anything. I became sick with a longterm illness recently and I did not like the idea of missing medically related calls due to poor battery life, but did not want to buy a $650-800 phone right now. I decided this LG G7 ThinQ would be a stop-gap item for now and I would purchase something better in a few months. And if I had a problem, it was going back in 72 hours. I have changed my plans, I will not be considering another phone for at least a couple years when I want a 5G phone. The phone I received is in incredible shape. It looked like somebody might have kept it in their front pocket without a case for a couple weeks, and nothing more. I had to use the magnifying glass app from the old phone to see any marks on the metal banding, zero faults on both glass sides. The S7 Edge and this phone are almost identical in dimensions when you lay them on each other, but this one has a better display and the display has more real estate. LG allowed 99% of what was on the other phone to come over configured correctly. The phone kept asking to do app and security updates. In all there were 5-6 updates necessary to bring the phone up to speed. One of those updates included Android 9.0, and brought the phone current with the Dec. 1 2019 security patch. After one was done, it was not immediately apparent that there would be additional updates waiting. Just know that if you are a quarter of a year or more behind, be sure to check ten minutes after the last update for your phone to see if it offers another. Checking with the Antutu app found no dead pixels and the battery capable of holding 92% of its original charge (2796 mAh vs 3000 mAh new). I have no problem getting a full day of work out of the phone, but do charge it when on the road. Mentioning driving, the Google Assistant summoning button is fast and what I use to start navigation while I hook up and mount the phone. I like this feature a lot. This phone is very loud and I prefer this to having stereo speakers that don't have good volume and presence. The camera and all other features keep surprising me (in good ways) as I have gotten around to trying them out. My wife is surprised I settled on "an old used phone," but this one looks great and is a good performer. The mismatched charger and cable are fine and work fast. I am using previously owned fast chargers at home and in my car with the USB cord I purchased along with the phone. I have the other set in my travel bag as spares. This was a great purchase. I have chosen the heavier Spigen case that still has a kickstand for protection. ... show more

  • Nice upgrade from my LG V20
Color: Platinum Gray
Pro's about this phone: Compared to a LG V20. $140 It's an Amazon Renewed phone, it arrived in a plain white box with a LG Fast charger charger and USB C cable. It also arrived with a scratch on the back 1" long but not very deep. The case I bought will take care of that. Other than that, it looks new, screen and corners are perfect. The battery lasts over 2 days but I'm not a power user This phone is fast and responsive approx. 30% faster than my LG V20. Snap Dragon 845 vs 820. It boots up 30 seconds faster vs the V20. It's a slick looking phone but, definitely get a case for this, it's slippery because of the glass back. Con's about this phone: I miss the flip cover option my V20 has, but this doesn't. Larger screen seems smaller than my V20, Screen is 6.1" but It feels like it's smaller than the V20's 5.7" screen, due to phone being narrower. There are many new features on this phone that will take some time to explore, but I feel most won't be used by me because I like simple designed things that are fast to use. It's a nice phone but wished I waited 1 week to buy it because it's $10 less. Bottom line: You don't need to spend a lot of $$ to get a previous generation $750 flagship phone. (you can buy a new one for under $300) ... show more
