I'm very happy with this monitor having used it for a year now. The size and resolution are great. It looks good. It has performed flawlessly so far. The sound levels are good and I use the audio for meetings and youtube videos with no issue. The only complaint I have is it doesn't autodetect and switch inputs. I swap this between my desktop and laptop and after switching the cables between the HDMI and DisplayPort, I need to tell the monitor to change ports.     • All Is Well After One Week Of Use
This 4K monitor provides a substantial upgrade compared to the 1080p monitor it is replacing. The monitor is working well for me. It looked new coming out of the box. The monitor is used primarily for web browsing and for viewing videos as well as for working with text documents and spreadsheets -- sometimes multiple documents at a time. The blacks are BLACK. The whites are WHITE. The colors are sharp but realistic. The text is clear. I am still experimenting with using the HDR option to view videos but am not sure I will continue to do so long term. Otherwise, the basic 4K setting provides the best viewing experience. The second HDMI port is being used to house a ROKU streamer. Having that second HDMI port available is a real plus. I referred to the Owners Manual and to YouTube videos to help me get acquainted with the available setting options and to help complete the initial adjustments -- this took a fair amount of time but the results have made the investment of time worthwhile. I downloaded the LG OnScreen Control for this monitor from the LG website. It simplified fine tuning the brightness and contrast settings (I keep it open but minimized on the taskbar). Being a product of the 20th century and having no video game experience, the joystick button took some getting used to. But, after one week, it is working well for me. I've been using it for a couple of weeks and it looks as good as new. However, it didn't work at first because its HDMI cable did not support 4K bandwidth. Once I bought a new cable for fifteen bucks it works perfectly.

This is not the most spectacular image display, but it seems "good enough" It's a reasonably priced 4K display, with the added bonus of reasonable speakers.

I just got a new pc and wanted montors that would benefit. Found this bad boy for $180. The ppi on these is amazing. I bought two and am considering a third. These from the LG site when I bought them were on sale for $350 ea. Got two for that price. With such high def on a 32 the picture is amazing. Text can be small, but you can always adjust. I'm also obsessed with my new pc, so maybe that's part of it. Sick setup though. ... show more

    • Would absolutely NEVER buy anything "Amazon Renewed" again
I'd purchased another one and wanted a second. I thought I'd take a chance on "Amazon Renewed," as it was substantially cheaper. Y'all, there is no way anyone looked at this thing before they sent it to me; it was obviously a customer return and had very clearly not been examined in any meaningful way by anyone before it was sent to me. The thing was loose inside the box and there was a bunch of plastic trash in the box with it. It was missing half of the styrofoam packing, so it was just bouncing around inside the box. It is an absolute miracle that the thing wasn't broken when it got to me. I was fully expecting it to be broken, given the packaging. Turned it on, it's not broken. Props to LG for building something that could handle shipping abuse, even when it shouldn't need to. Unfortunately, after using it for a day, I realized there was a jagged strip of discoloration along the left side. It was slight and even a bit difficult to see at first, but once I noticed it, I couldn't NOT see it. I went to return it; they offered sending another one, so I gave it a shot. The second one they sent out was packaged correctly, at least. I repackaged the first one as best I could--better than they'd sent it to me, anyway; I don't think it'll go bouncing around--and sent it back using the label they'd given me. Sorta holding my breath on that; I'm half expecting them to blame me for the damage. I now have precisely zero faith in "Amazon Renewed" -- they're obviously just gonna send you something directly from the previous customer, without bothering to check it over at all. I'm raising this review--at least temporarily--to three stars, since I now have a functional monitor at a lower price, which is nice. However, this will definitely be the last time I purchase anything like this (expensive electronics) that's "Amazon Renewed." ... show more
