I bought a black pair of Levis 541 years ago. And, they're great, classic Levis denim, for the most part. The waist is never perfect, but I usually have to buy 1 increment bigger to fit my legs without them being super tight. These 541s were the best option for a minute as no jeans fit better without being so baggy they were a relaxed fit or something--perfect tapered leg with a fitting fit, but not slim or skinny which are usually strangling for my legs. I ordered both the gray and black to try them both out. Both were the 99% cotton with the 1% elastane. HOLY CRAP, THEY WERE HUGE, AND SO STRETCHY, GETTING REALLY CLOSE TO JEGGINGS. The gray ones were even bigger and stretchier than the black. I ended up sizing down 1 more size in the black, and just completely returning the gray. The black fit ~OK but they're definitely still stretchier and thinner material than your classic Levis denim (which this style used to be as well). Definitely a shame! I like having denim between my skin and all the sharp objects out there in the world! Not just a cotton pant which these have morphed into. Bummer! I'll have to find a different brand. Everlane an ~OK replacement for now. They're "relaxed" tapered jeans are almost like what these jeans used to be.

I buy these when they’re on sale, and even then, they are still not cheap, but I think they’re a solid investment. They retain their good looks and fit quite well, even after repeated laundering. I like that they are on the lighter weight scale, and they allow for free movement without getting all stretched out. When I find pants that fit, I tend to buy multiples, so I have several pairs of these and pretty much only wore this style of pants this past year for casual wear. I only bought them in black, so I don’t know what the other variations are like. Watch for sales and grab a pair!

I've been ordering the same 30x30 size using reorder for 3 years now. The first two times they fit perfectly like they were tailored for him. The latest pair ordered and delivered yesterday is extremely baggy and the fabric appears to be of lower quality. The inseam is 2 to 3 in too long and they are baggy In the waist. I'd really love to know how they can be that inconsistent? It appears that they are genuine Levi's and as stated I ordered through the same link I've been ordering through using reorder for the last 3 years. I am very annoyed that this happened. I'm hesitant to purchase ever again. This is a huge inconvenience

My hubby is a very picky, Levi only wearing, man and the style he likes no longer comes in his size (what's what up with that Levi & co???), so I have been buying random styles until we find one he likes. These are bootcut, which is a must, they fit well, look good (from this wife's point of view), but the material is so thin, as a flatbed trucker, he will not be able to wear these to work. They'll be tore up the first day. They will work for "good" though.
