Looking online this case looked exactly like what I was looking for. An airline overhead storage bag for a week’s worth of clothes plus separate space for. My MacBook Pro and my iPad Pro. This case definitely satisfies these needs. I like the fold down opening for the computer and iPad plus pockets for USB cables or other items. The side has a couple compartments plus a separator with a pocket as well. It is a little heavier than other hard sided cases I’ve looked at but I think that is because the others are just simple hollow boxes. I’ll take the weight hit over functionality any time. It isn’t that heavy though — certainly lighter than the case it replaced. From the description it said it would fit a 15” notebook and a 10.6” iPad so I was concerned about the iPad space. My new iPad Pro measured 10.9” and I have a case that holds the Apple Pencil on the side. Happily this fit fine in the iPad sleeve and my MacBook has plenty of room in the notebook pocket. The separation is soft between the electronics area and the clothes area so you can utilize all the space. I got the one with the expansion zipper and it expands between the wheels so there is no stability issue on the wheels when expanded. This was exactly what I was looking for. My one issue was I was on a trip already when my existing case broke. I ordered on Monday and Amazon said it would arrive Wednesday night. We were leaving Thursday morning so it was perfect. On Wednesday morning I got the note it had just shipped and was now expected Thursday night. I canceled the order but no way to actually stop it. On Thursday I got a notification it was delayed again and would arrive on Friday. Too late, we were already gone. I reordered to arrive at our next destination. It said it would come the next day, and it did. I had someone on site from the earlier stop take my late delivers case to UPS with my return label issued by Amazon.

This is the first LEVEL8 piece of luggage that I have purchased. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and functionality of this 20 inch expandable hard sided luggage. It fits in the overhead bin of airplanes easily and is so easy to maneuver through busy airport terminals and on the plane. There are many wonderful features. The suitcase rolls smoothly and in all directions, is lightweight, made of quality materials, has a laptop/tablet side compartment with small pocket storage for cables and other small items, has an organized interior and expandable capacity. I can pack enough for a 3-4 day trip and carry my laptop/tablet, thus eliminating the need for a bulky backpack. There are not very many hard sided luggage that have a side compartment for tech or personal items. Other details that I appreciate are the 2 handles (top and side) that really help when lifting the luggage into the overhead bin on a plane or into a vehicle. Another plus is that the luggage has a built in TSA lock and a lock is included for the side compartment as well! An added bonus! This LEVEL 8 luggage checks all the boxes and is reasonably priced. I love it and highly recommend it for your travel needs!

Annoying that they charge more for black as a color - so I purchased a blue one. I really like this carry-on bag! The design is sleek, the blue color stands out beautifully, and the build quality feels solid without being heavy. The spinner wheels are whisper-quiet and glide effortlessly through airports, which makes a huge difference when you’re rushing between gates. The telescopic handle is sturdy and comfortable to use, and the hard shell gives me confidence that my belongings are well-protected. I just received this item and haven't traveled with it yet. I want to clarify 2 things that would have helped me make a better decision. I bought the blue one, the less expensive one. It does NOT have a TSA lock on the front zipper where your laptop and electronics go. Maybe the other versions/colors do since they are more expensive. The blue does not. So now I'm buying a set of TSA locks for that zipper. And a luggage strap, just to be safe. Update: it did come with a separate lock to use on the front compartment so that was nice. Second, I easily fit a 17" laptop in the laptop compartment. That was also almost a deal breaker, since it was unclear if it would fit. The compartment is not huge and won't fit very much. But, it will fit a travel monitor, which is also important to me sometimes. Both of these things are heavy (laptop and monitor) and I prefer not to wear them in a backpack. The power adapter for the laptop won't easily fit in this section, but a few smaller things will. If I find anything goes awry in my trip to India, I'll write more when I return. Update: travels great. Laptop compartment works really well. A thing to note. I did use a larger backpack than normal because the laptop compartment took up a lot of space that I use for clothing. So the backpack now hold more clothing. Lighter weight in the pack. Heavier in the suitcase. This is now my go to carry on system for traveling 2 days to 2 weeks. Possibly longer if I have access to laundry facilities. Great little bag.

This level 8 carry on suitcase arrived quickly and in excellent condition. It was packaged well with foam inserts inside the box protecting each corner of the luggage should the box topple over during shipping. The suitcase itself was housed inside a white cloth drawstring bag for dustproofing and scratch resistance during shipping and upon opening. I chose the bluish color. Its a very subtle blue gray color. It won't stand out in a line of luggage but I love the color. It has about a 2 inch extension on it that can be utilized if needed. Which i found very convenient for a 7 day cruise recently. The interior has a zippered pocket on one side and on the other side buckles to hold your clothes in place with a mesh divider flap pocket for those small extras. This flap pocket also buckles down. The outer zipper pocket unzips neatly completely off allowing for easy access to lots of pocket options and storage inside. On the inner side there's a zippered pocket that runs nearly the length and width of the case. There is also a laptop and tablet holder with a velcro strap. On the opposite side of the interior pocket of this case is another zippered pocket that is about half the length of the front of the case and nearly the same width as the case. There are also two pen/pencil holders, a good size square pocket for phone charger cords ect. whith velcro and a good size rectangular sized pocket that would fit a batter pack ect. easily with velcro. All the zippers and velcro are of great quality. There is a TSA lock on the larger part of the suitcase zippers but not the smaller front part. This case did come with a extra TSA approved lock for the front lock as well as some alphabet stickers. The wheels on this suitcase are absolutely fantastic. I over a travel pro case and can honestly say this case rolls every bit as good as they travel pro. My only complaints about this case is the handle isn't as nice and sturdy feeling as my travel pro and there's very limited space in the front zippered area when using/maximizing the 2 inch extension on this case.

I have lived out of this suitcase everyday for the last 15 months and it has held up SO WELL!!! And still going strong! After 15 months of living out of it, it's only gotten a few scuffs and scratches on the metal corners which seem to be the purpose behind having them, just amazing to me. The zippers have held up very well and have had no problems with them other than in that front pocket, because I stuff the suitcase so full, going around the corners then zipper will sometimes skip over, but I've just learned to hold it tight at the top and it zips smoothly. The handles on the outside have held up really well too, although I wonder if I'm going to break them one day because of how I take it in and out of the car all the time by them, but they too are going strong and are comfortable and in the right places. The wheels are very smooth and convenient too! When I first got it, I had set it down on the front porch (that didn't have a railing at the time) and they rolled so smooth it rolled right off the porch from the little tilt it had! It still rolls just as smoothly and have no problems with the wheels turning or anything. The extendable handle is great too, and can stop at different heights and have had no problems with it at all. The lock on the side of it works great too, very easy to work. The suitcase also comes with an extra lock for the front zipper pouch since those zippers don't have a built in lock. I keep a lot of letter making stuff, my phone charger and a couple books on that front pocket, but unfortunately, that's about all it can take because it shares the same space as the inside of the suitcase. I keep my suitcase extended all the time and has been super flexible with it so it will still close when I don't have my clothes folded nicely in my packing cubes and in my laundry bag instead. I've learned how to maximize the space too with putting my pj's and some workout stuff in the spaces the handle makes, so this suitcase can actually hold a lot! The mesh inside zipper pocket is great, I wish there was another pocket in it though, so I safety-pinned a pouch to the other side which works great and doesn't encroach on the space I need for other things! The side that the extention is on can hold a lot even if it wasn't extended, but I prefer to keep it extended, it just flexes easier and more comfortablely. It's a lot deeper than it seems at first which I love and am glad for.
