This suitcase is very well made! I had been doing a lot of research on the best bag to take on a European trip. Level 8 ticked all my boxes. 1. Price point was spot on. 2. Dimensions included wheels and handles( beware some don’t) and it fit well within the requirements. 3. Stylish color and look. 4 Attention to detail on inside construction 5. Most importantly the wheels were said to roll well on cobblestone. ( And they certainly did) I just returned from a trip and cruise to Italy and Greece. Packed enough clothes and toiletries for 2 weeks ( not an easy task but with lots of planning it can be done) wore everything I packed most things twice and did 0 laundry. Nothing got dirty or stinky but glad we didn’t stay another week! lol The zippers on the bag are smooth zipping and lock securely into to top lock. Fully packed my bag weighed just a tad over 23#’s. I did pack one change of clothes and a pj in my personals bag, but the suitcase was my main storage. The wheels were a dream on rough cobblestone streets. The handle felt nice and sturdy. The front flap storage pocket might be great for those traveling with a laptop but I did not use is except for paperwork as loading it with things does limit the amount of interior packing space. My only issue( no fault of the bag itself) was the last day of the trip I loaded my suitcase with my personal bag attached to the trolley handle , onto a bus… the ride was chaotic and the bags tipped over. Someone tried to lift both bags by grabbing the personal bag and slightly bent the suitcase handle. No significant visible damage but I was then unable to lower the handle back into the suitcase. After working on the internal mechanism (inside the zipper area in the bottom of the suitcase) I have been able to lower it back down except for the last inch and a half. I am currently contacting Level 8 to see what can be done. This is a great bag and I love it ! Would definitely buy another Level 8! Wish they made them lighter. Most bags empty run in the 610 pound range. This one comes in at about 6.9-7.9. Not horrible but every little bit helps when going thru security.

Excellent bag—easy to roll, not too heavy, and very durable. The metal parts have a few scratches, which is normal with use. It’s also easy to recognize my bag among others. Overall, it provides solid protection for my belongings.

I am one who over researches things, tries every version out there before landing on something. I lost count of the number of carry-on suitcases I tried before landing on this one. I have never used a roller suitcase as a carry-on, so I wasn’t 100% sure what I wanted. Initially I ordered the non-expandable version but it was too small. It arrived the day before my cross-country flight so at the last minute I had to grab a different case that I was planning to return. It was a much lower quality and I quickly discovered what I didn’t want in a carry-on. I knew that the cup holder/phone holder on so many carry-ons were gimmicks that I wouldn’t use, so I was happy this Level8 case put the quality in the right places - a deep, well-padded computer pocket that allows access to the main compartment (the zipper is extremely well hidden - you’ll swear there isn’t one. It is easier to find from inside the main space,). This was a big deal for me and very few carry-ons have main compartment access from the computer pocket. In fact, this was probably the feature that clinched it for me. I really wanted the flexibility of treating it as a top-load case. I exchanged the smaller one for the expandable version. While I haven’t used it on a trip yet, it is obviously a huge step above most other brands - high quality craftsmanship down to the last detail. The most important factor for me when it came to making a choice between otherwise similar cases is in the appearance. I do not want a suitcase that is easily mistaken for someone else’s. You will never see me with a black suitcase…ever. This one is a stunning blue, with the brushed aluminum accents. It is a head turner and I did not see one remotely like it in the crowded holiday ATL airport. Nothing is perfect I guess and there are two things about this case that are disappointing, one of them was nearly a deal breaker. First, a design oversight that is bewildering given the attention to detail shown in the rest of the design. The main compartment has the TSA lock, but the computer pocket does not. Everyone with a similar front-pocket suitcase knows that it is for a computer, so it becomes a focal point if someone wants to grab the case, steal from it, and hurriedly ditch the case in the bathroom. This oversight is even more problematic given the access to the main compartment afforded through the front pocket. There is really no point in having a lock on the main compartment if there is still unlocked access through the auxiliary space. I’ll be buying a separate TSA lock to solve this issue. The second issue — this case is priced higher than most, and it is reflected in the design quality, so I am baffled that Level8 went with zippers - the weakest, most likely fail point on a suitcase - rather than zipperless locks. This really made me hesitate to purchase because there are much less expensive cases that do not have zippers. I hope Level8 will offer that as an upgraded option on this model in the future. One last weirdly absent detail - there is no external charging port. I won’t miss this as I’ve never owned a suitcase with that feature, but it does seem to be a nearly ubiquitous feature on newer suitcases these days. Curious that Level8 did not include one. Otherwise, I am very happy with this product.
