Superheroes appeal to many ages, so I thought I'd give these a try. Each has mask outlines on cardstock so children can decorate the masks themselves. That's appealing to many ages, also. We tried paint, markers, and gel pens. The stretchy elastics that allow a person to wear the masks work well. One odd thing was that they came with two paintbrushes so that you can paint them - but not paint. I knew this when I ordered, but still gave them a try. Since I had to provide my own paint, though, I wondered why the brushes were provided. I also wished they were printed on heavier stock. They don't last long, and I could easily have printed my own masks on thicker cardstock. ... show more

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of these masks. They’re cut from heavy cardstock and have printed outlines to paint or color in. The stretchy elastic cords are about 12” long and attach through a hole at either side of the mask. There’s a dozen mask styles and 2 of each, so plenty of choices to pick from. There are 2 paint brushes but no paint, which baffles me. If they don’t include paint, why go to the expense of including brushes? To save clean up from potential big messes due to spilled paint, I plan to have the kids use markers, so the brushes are wasted on me. My nephew’s birthday is coming up and these DIY masks will be perfect for his superhero party theme. He’s already picked out the mask he wants to color and can’t wait for party time! ... show more

My son and his friends greatly enjoyed painting these masks. The paper is made of release equality and there’s a huge assortment of super hero masks to pick from. Some of the masks are recognizable like Iron Man but there are also some masks that looks fun that don’t correspond with a superhero.
