Washing my tubes with just soap and water always made me nervous that it was sufficient. This brush did a great job of cleaning my CPAP tubing. The dual end brushes are tight enough to to scrape the inner tubing but soft enough to not damage them. First time I used the tube that was cleaned in this way I smell the difference.     • Best hose brush I've found
I've been using CPAP for almost 20 years. I have quite a few hoses so I can change them regularly. I usually clean half a dozen at a time and then change it whenever I wash the sheets. The long brush is quite flexible but still easy to snake through the hose. I've had a couple of brushes that were too short, 6' the same as the hose. This one adds enough length to go all the way through and have some slack to hang on to. Unfortunately I use a ResMed machine with a right angle fitting on one end so its not possible to pass it all the way through. The bristles then hang somewhat when I start pulling it back. All my brushes do this, it just means that the bristles are actually doing something. I use unscented dish detergent. After cleaning the hoses I dry them by running them on the machine for a while without the mask. The heated hoses dry quickly this way. Storing them wet kind of defeats the purpose of washing them in the first place. This is an excellent brush. Its a small price to pay to know my hoses are clean. ... show more

I love it so much, it works great on cleaning the inside of your CPAP hose, it takes some practice because the brush itself is a bit hard to control while cleaning the hose because of the nature of the design, it is a spring type of cable that has some rigidity, but if it sounds like a bad idea I can tell you is in fact genius! because it keeps the shape the whole time you are sliding it inside your hose and having two brush heads ensure you can run it like a loop, as soon as you get the tip of your brush out of the other end of the hose you can start inserting the other part to the other end of your hose and it will work great, it is hard to explain but once you use it you'll see what I mean.     • Brush got stuck towards end and needed harder pull to remove. Fits Resmed climateline 15 mm
It was fairly easy to get the brush inside the tube until the last 8-12 inches where it got harder to push and needed a bit more of a push. Then it got stuck at the end and I had to give several harder yanks to get it to come back. I have a resmed 11 cpap with a climate air hose that is 15 mm inside diameter. The end of the hose that connects to the machine is an open hole and that’s the end that I inserted the brush. The metal is fairly stiff which you need in order to push the brush thru the hose. It comes with an inexpensive piece of Velcro so that you can fold it back together so that it’s easier to store. This is something I probably wont use for every hose cleaning - probably will use every 4 weeks or of course if I get a respiratory illness it would be great to do extra cleaning afterwards. ... show more

    • Using this brush cleans the CPAP air hose more effectively than just swishing soapy water
The brush comes with the cables wound securely, care is needed to open the brush up and feed it into the CPAP hose. It didn't take too much effort to push it to the end of the CPAP hose, but on the first use, it did take a bit of wiggle to get it back out (my hose has an elbow connector at one end) After use, it was easy to wind the brush cable back up to small size and reuse the included velcro strap. The brush dries quickly after use and can be stored back into the zipper bag Peace of mind that I can get the equipment cleaner with these brushes.     • Great tools for cleaning CPAP hose and mask
This set of bushes includes a long double ended hose brush and a short brush for masks and frames. I spend a lot of time cleaning CPAP and other airway maintenance devices and this brush set is one of the best I've seen. The bushes have loop over ends so there are no sharp points to catch on things. Some other brushes come with plastic tips on the ends of the metal shafts but these tips don't stay in place. This brush set doesn't have that issue. The bristles are stiff enough to get anything in the hose removed. The shaft of the long brush is flexible enough to work through the bends in the host but large enough to make pushing it through the hose easier than with a thinner shaft brush. I've been using a CPap for over twenty years. I'll admit, I haven't always cleaned my gear as often as the instructions suggest. But I've managed. This brush set is great at making the chore easier. The cable is very well made and is able to stay in good shape without kinking. It has brushes on each end so that I can clean "coming and going." The small single brush also helps with the ends of the CPap tube. I would warn not to use any product with the brush unless it is recommended by the manufacturer of the tube. I use a solution that is specifically made for CPap tubing. One Note: The cable for the long brush pinched one of the brushes so that when I uncoiled it, some brush fibers came out. ... show more

With the hoses on the CPAP machine, the main instructions are to just soak the hose in mild soapy water for a few minutes, rinse and hang dry. However, i'm not 100% sure this is really going to clean out everything. When using this product it seems to work fine, and i'm sure this now will ensure a proper clean. ... show more
