I recently got into knitting and use these threads specifically to connect two skeins together. I have not used it for anything else so I can't say much outside of this specific application. However, the color spread has been really good, if there Isn't an exact match in here, there's one close enough that you won't be able to see the thread. The strength seems great and the texture is nice, it Isn't coarse enough to get caught on itself etc. The case is compact and easy to store, it's also transparent enough to see if you have the color you need on deck or if any spools are running low. Given how compact it is, it IS packed pretty tight. I have big hands and had to use one of my needles to fish out a spool, but that's not a big issue. This does not come with any needles or anything. Not a sewing kit, just the thread. It was easy to secure my thread when I was done using it as the spools have small slits on one edge that you can fasten your loose thread to. ... show more

So I wrote the first review when I saw how "teeny-tiny" the spools are. I decided to try the thread on my Singer Heavy Duty 4452. I was looking for an all-purpose thread. I decided to put this thread to the test. I worked on a heavy duty project that required sewing through 2 to 5 layers of terrycloth. To further the test, I kept a pre-wound bobbin from a cheap little, learner's sewing machine set that came with 40 pre-wound bobbins and cute, teeny-tiny (toy) spools of thread in many colors. I had been super disappointed that the top threads broke EVERY time I tried to use the toy (per se) thread in the heavy duty machine. That's when I ordered this set. They appeared to be larger, online. So, without hesitating after seeing the actual product, and without trying it out, I wrote a bad review. I judged the book by the cover. Today, I decided to put the thread to the toughest test I could imagine using ... a cheap toy thread on a metal bobbin! Let me tell you! It performed AMAZINGLY. Super sturdy, smooth sewing. Worked GREAT for my project even at high speed with that metal bobbin of toy thread. It never broke. And although the project was a big one, I can probably do five more large projects. Next time.
