Features

  • Smooth and Precise Playability: The rosewood fingerboard paired with 24 frets offers a smooth feel and excellent note articulation. It ensures accurate fingering and fluid movement across the neck, reducing hand fatigue during long sessions and complex solos.
  • Premium Tonewood Construction: The solid mahogany body delivers rich low-end warmth and sustained resonance, while the roasted maple neck provides exceptional stability and a bright, singing sustain. This time-tested combination builds the foundation for a powerful, classic electric guitar tone that stands the test of time.
  • Versatile Sound System: Features an HH pickup set for powerful humbucking tones. The neck position houses a rail-style humbucker, ensuring even string response and clarity across all registers. Pull the tone knob to split the bridge humbucker into a bright single-coil voice. Effortlessly switch between thick, high-gain rock tones and crisp, articulate cleans, making it your all-in-one solution for diverse styles.
  • Tuning and Tremolo Performance: The 18:1 tuning machines and a reliable double-locking tremolo bridge work in concert to provide pinpoint tuning accuracy and remarkable stability. Execute aggressive dive bombs and expressive vibratos with confidence, knowing your guitar will return to perfect pitch every time.
  • Timeless Modern Aesthetics: Featuring a meticulously crafted, classic contoured body with sleek, modern lines. The clean layout of metal hardware complements the natural wood grain, resulting in an understated yet professional aesthetic that commands attention on any stage.
  • Pro-Grade Specifications: Built to professional standards with a 648mm (25.5") scale length and a 42mm nut width for precise intonation and comfortable string spacing. The neck profile is meticulously designed (20.5mm at 1st fret, 22.5mm at 12th fret), and it comes strung with 09-42 gauge strings.

  • Amazing sub $250 guitar. Buy this guitar Here are the details
The media could not be loaded. This is likely the best Leo Jaymz yet. Unlike the previous models the Chameleon finish is amazing and ultra glossy. The Humbucker and single coil sized neck humbucker are the best configuration in terms of looks and they sound good too (this is obviously subjective). The neck is a very thin C shape and the frets at not the usual rounded ball end. I’m not sure they are even stainless but they are even and mine were finished well. I live in an ultra dry climate so I needed to address some small fret end stuff but they would have been fine for 90% of folks. ( I’m insanely picky about fret work) I think these frets are actually glued in ( thank goodness) Push pull coil split is nice but I seldom use this feature. The Trem works well but it is the weak point of the guitar and will eventually give you problems if you play regularly and use the trem often. I swapped mine. Some folks have noted the 17th fret Roman numeral is wrong. It is indeed wrong but it doesn’t bother me like it does some folks. Overall an amazing guitar that looks good, plays good and sounds good. Buy one. ... show more

  • Built well, plays well!
Color: Matte Black
Good build. Pickups sound great, gives me that PAF sounds and also a surprisingly nice split coil sound too. Neck was perfectly straight. Frets were perfectly level, only had a few burrs on the fret edges that I had to shave off. 3 minutes worth of work on the frets. Not bad. It really is a well made guitar. I did upgrade the bridge, but for $209, that is absolutely to be expected. This guitar hits way about its weight. It's now one of my workhorse guitars. Well worth the money. There is a typo on the fretboard. Has the number 12 where a 17 should be on the "17th" fret, but hey.... it's $209, so I can live with it ... show more

  • Another awesome guitar
Another awesome guitar. How do they keep doing it so cheap. This is another Leo Jaymz guitar for me. Out if the box, the frets was perfect. No rough spots or undeveloped frets. Tuned it and played. Frets was prepolished and it plays and sounds great. Definitely wouldn't worry about buying more from Leo Jaymz. ... show more

  • doesnt stay in tune

  • Love it!
Color: Matte Black
Great guitar for the price. Plays and sounds awesome. Most (negative) reviews are about cosmetics. Would you compare a 200$ car to a 2000$ car? This guitar exceeds most similarly priced guitars. Plays good, looks good, sounds good, and stays in tune.

  • Awesome Guitar. No upgrades needed
Color: Matte Silver
After being so impressed by the Leo Jaymz "Monsoon", I decided to purchase the new "Tsunami". As a rock/metal player it had all the features I look for in a guitar. After playing it for a couple of days I think this guitar is awesome! For a rock/metal/shred guitar it's great like it is, no upgrades needed. The alnico pickups are hot and sound great, with the bridge pickup measuring 13.4K resistance and the bridge pickup (rail humbucker) measuring 14.2K. Their sound is well balanced and there's a coil tap on the tone knob to split the coil on the bridge pickup. It stays in tune well and most importantly, the neck and fretwork are great. The neck was perfectly straight out of the box and didn't require any truss rod adjustment. The frets are level and smooth with no dead spots. Overall a well made guitar that feels and plays like a guitar at a much higher price point. Cons: -There are 2 small cracks at the neck joint. However, they appear to be only minor cosmetic issues. -As mentioned in other reviews, the Roman numeral is wrong on the 17th fret. I think this is kinda funny. -While the neck and fretwork is very good, there is some slight fret sprout on the edges. Given the Monsoon came with stainless steel ball end frets, which are amazing, I was hoping the Tsunami would have them as well. That said, I still give the neck 4 out of 5 stars as well as the guitar overall. Is it perfect? No. But it is an awesome guitar straight out of the box. If this guitar said Ibanez or Jackson on the headstock it would easily cost $700-$800. ... show more

  • Great guitar right out of the box.
It’s the best guitar Ive ever played and I’ve played many. Very good guitar for the money. The best money I’ve ever spent on a guitar. Up with my more expensive ones. I have two of Leo jaymz guitars and am going to be buying another one. It’s a great copy of a Floyd rose and holds tune very nicely.
