The screeching was very bad at any volume level. It was impossible to hold a cell phone against (or even close) to my ear. While the volume can be turned way up, the quality of sound was like listening through a tin cup.

Got my hands on these digital hearing aids about a month ago. I've tried a few brands before, and they always seemed to have some kind of issue. This one works well so far. First things first, the noise canceling feature is spot on. My neighborhood is always buzzing – dogs barking, kids playing, you name it. But with these hearing aids in, it’s like all the background fuzz just melts away. The sound clarity is pretty decent too. It has noise-cancelling capabilities, and the color matching is beautiful, very natural; you can hardly tell I'm wearing a hearing aid. This hearing aid set is affordable for us. Its sound quality is not bad at all although is an entry-level hearing aid set. When the hearing aids were put into the ears, my grandpa felt more than happy to have them. He could hear the sound around him again but he did not have to pay for it too much.
