My wife and I got these as wedding gifts a little over a year ago and we love the plates. We haven't had any chip, though this is a replacement for one that broke. It only broke after a glass container fell out of the cabinet onto it though, so I don't think it can be faulted for that. I shopped for a long time to find some pretty dishes to use everyday. If you love turquoise and birds, you'll love this set of dishes. They are chip resistant and light, which influenced my decision. They are easy to load/unload in the dishwasher without taking up a ton of room and lightweight enough to handle easily. Quality dishes and nice enough to use for dinner parties, too. ... show more

Noticed the items to be purchased 1 ea. were more expensive and said bone china (unlike the packaged/grouped items) so thought they would be bone china/made in USA per description but they are not. I bought these to add to my original plates. They are slightly smaller in diameter and thinner than the original plates. But I’m keeping these because they are hard to find. But I don’t think they were made by Lenox.

These are absolutely beautiful, elegant plates. Didn't have any issue with the shipping at all (no breakage). You just can't stop looking at them when set in front of you. They have a regular size, so if you tend to cook on the bulkier side, these plates may limit you somewhat on the amount of food you can place on them. Think more French and less Texas if you are considering them. But if you watch your proportions and love to serve them in a somewhat elegant style, these are definitely the plates for you.
