I purchased these hoping that they weren't going to be chalky and gross like some "healthy" bars can be. I prefer them refrigerated. They have a decent texture and the flavor is really good. A great alternative to a higher calorie, less nutritious dessert.

I was hesitant to get these, because I tried the cookies years ago and did not like those. But I enjoyed this, but my husband still scarred from the cookies would not eat them.

Flavor Name: Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip
This review pertains to the peanut butter chocolate chip flavor. I have dairy allergies, so I've been sampling vegan friendly protein products. This one does say in bold the product is manufactured in a facility that also processes milk, tree nuts, soy and eggs. I need to find a product that is softer than Clif Builder bars, which can be akin to chewing granite. I think the density and hardness of the Builder bars are why they trigger my acid reflux, most of the time. Of the products I've tried, these are probably closest to softness and flavor to the Larabar peanut butter chocolate chip. The two are both 45 grams. These have less calories than the Larabar variety 180 for these and 220 for Larabar. These also have 12 grams of protein to the Larabar bar's 5. These are also slightly higher in fiber (5 grams to Larabar's 4). As far as for flavor, I think they're about equal. I wouldn't say these are as delicious as a regular candy bar. However, they are one of the best tasting options I've tried, by far. I'm not sure where these rank as far as satiety is concerned. I'll edit my review, after I have had one a day for breakfast for a few days. If the price stays under $14 (as of now, $13.48), I think I have found the protein bars I've been looking for. ... show more

I really liked the chocolate almond sea salt version. It reminded me of a brownie. I didn't care so much for the peanut butter version because the consistency is a bit mealy in my opinion. I usually prefer peanut butter variations, but not this time.

I didn't expect these to taste like brownies! They're so good! Soft, chewy, and tasty, with a decent amount of protein. They're on the small side, though, so the extra savings from adding these to my Subscribe & Save brings them down to a more justifiable cost.
