Firmer silicone with max capacity for all-day confidence and active lifestyles. Super Heavy Flow. What is a menstrual cup and how does it work? A menstrual cup is a reusable alternative to disposable products that sits inside your body to collect flow during your cycle. The cup creates a seal to prevent leakage and unlike absorbent products, it can be worn for up to 12 hours. Do I need a Small or Large Lena Cup? The Small cup is ideal for regular flow and for first-time users. The Large cup is designed for super heavy flow and greater capacity. Many users switch between sizes during their cycle. If unsure, start with Small. What's the difference between Lena Original and Sensitive? The Original cup offers reliable firmness for easy insertion, making it perfect for active users. The Sensitive cup features softer, more flexible silicone for those with sensitive bladder & anatomy. Many users use both, based on comfort needs. Is a menstrual cup safe for teenagers and beginners? Yes. Menstrual cups are safe for teenagers and first-time users. While there's a learning curve, most people master insertion and removal within a few cycles with practice. Many teens find cups convenient for school, sports and daily activities. Can I use a menstrual cup while swimming, exercising, or playing sports? Yes. When inserted correctly, a menstrual cup is secure and won't shift during workouts, running, sports, or swimming. Many athletes prefer cups because they're reliable and leak-proof in water. The cup stays in place during physical activity. • I was terrified of this, now I donate them to shelters
Color: Gray Original Size: Small
First let me say, I don’t leave Amazon reviews. I’m one of those crappy people that relies on them but never writes them. It felt important for me to leave this review. I was terrified to use the menstrual cup. I’ve been an avid tampon user for over a decade. The stories and reviews of it getting stuck were an actual nightmare of mine. I’ve had reproductive struggles and was frankly afraid it would happen to me more than anyone. I was also afraid it would leak or I would drop it when it was full…just…gross. A few months ago one of my girlfriends really encouraged me to try it. She said it changed her life. I decided to try it because tampons had been my only way of life for so long. At first I couldn’t get the thing in. I thought it was a sign. Then I figured out the right fold for me, got it in, but didn’t push it high enough. It’s like I was 15 again learning how to use a tampon. Pro tip, just push it up there. I NEVER struggled to take it out (and I have nails). Once I got the putting in part right, this really did change my life. I don’t feel it, it’s so secure, I’ve NEVER had a leak, and taking it out is easier than you think (I promise). I change my twice a day, that’s it. I have a really heavy flow, I use a size Small, and twice a day is all I spend on my cycle now. As someone that’s in back to back meetings all day and hits the gym and does a million other things, that’s a game changer. It’s also not nearly as smelly as tampons, just saying. It’s so much cleaner, cheaper, easier. I’m sad it took me this long to use. Here’s what is important to me to share. I come from a poor immigrant family. There were times I couldn’t afford tampons or pads…for years. Now, I have an incredible career and make great money, but the trauma of not having money for tampons sticks with me. If I had this cup then, life would have been easier. Because of that, I donate a cup (and cup wash) a month to a local shelter to help women have this much security. I’m not telling you this as a pat on the back, I’m telling you this to show you that I think it’s so great I donate it to women monthly…women like me who just needed something to be easy and work. I know it sounds silly how impactful this can be, but it’s the truth. I hope you’ll give this a try, and maybe donate a couple to women that need something this efficient, cost effective, and helpful…at least until we can make these products free. Well done, Lena cup. ... show more

  • Life Changing
Color: Gray Original Size: Small
I have a problem where I bleed 24/7 not just on my period. I’ve been dealing with it for a few years now and the doctors can’t figure out what is wrong. As you can imagine I go through A LOT of tampons and pads. Those products aren’t cheap. My coworker talked me into trying this cup and I was really skeptical but my life has been changed. The cup’s suction isn’t noticeable and therefore I don’t even feel it when I am wearing it. It is a learning curve of how to put it in and take it out but if you watch some YouTube videos you’ll be fine. It only took me one or two tries to get it. Ladies, if you are tired of spending so much on tampons and pads, or if you just want to be environmentally conscious then buy this! It is definitely worth it when you break this products cost down by that of tampons and pads. Not to mention that “period smell” we get, well I’m happy to say that with this it doesn’t exist. It’s a game changer for so many reasons!! ... show more

  • First I tried-Brilliant
Color: Gray Original Size: Small
Tried this cup after doing a quiz on PeriodNirvana.com on what cup I should try out for my first one. Highly recommend the site if you're trying to choose your first cup, it has a lot of great info to help you make an informed choice. Oh, and it also has tutorials on how to bend/fold your cup to insert it comfortably. The cup fits perfectly. I could trim the stem a little bit but honestly my cervix moves up and down a lot so it's not really worth the effort. It's not uncomfortable even with the stem jutting a little bit out when my cervix is lower, since the cup stem is so bendable, soft, and has the rounded tip. Super easy to clean, including the suction holes at the top. Comes with a nice little cloth bag to store it in once you clean it and in between periods. The small held up wonderfully on even my heavier days where I had to empty it 3-4 times in the day. It was great not having to worry about my pad leaking onto clothing. Currently, I still wear one of my regular pads when I wear the cup, just as a insurance in case it does leak (i’ve only used the cup for two periods so far), but I’m not having to replace my pad multiple times a day. This is definitely going to save me money, for sure. All in all, great product that works well. ... show more

  • Amazing customer service and product!
Color: Gray Original Size: Large
I got this cup to replace an older cup I had previously from them but accidentally got the wrong size and had issue with it leaking because it was too big to seal correctly. I contacted the Lena support on their official website and had a few exchanges through email they were amazing and helped me figure out the issue and they sent me a replacement in small even though I got this cup on Amazon! I give it 4 stars cuz it's amazing and works great and I love the customer service but it's a little difficult to use the restroom (#1& and just take it completely out for #2 😅) because it feels like I have to push extra hard to get everything out and then it feels like it's going to come out and sometimes I have to fix it. ... show more

  • Goldilocks!
Color: Gray Original Size: Large
Game. Changer. After 10 years of trial and error, this was my Goldilocks! If you have a menstruating vagina, give this cup a try. I’m 30, strong pelvic muscles (so I need a firm cup), fairly low cervix, never given birth vaginally but have had babies via C section. I went with the large and it’s perfect! Firm enough not to leak, but soft enough to be comfortable. Pops open the first time, every time (I use punch down fold) and easily removed (I cut the stem off). I think the shape and firmness are what make it work so well- I’ve always had leaks with other cups despite them otherwise fitting well and being comfortable. None with this one!! I feel like I’ve tried every cup, and this one is closest to the Fleur (my previous favorite) but slightly more tulip shaped and a little firmer. Seriously, go for it!! ... show more

  • Lena delivers for post-partum users!
Color: Gray Original Size: Large
I’ve used a menstrual cup for the past 10 years. I began with Blossom, then Diva I, then after having a baby, Diva II which was incredibly uncomfortable and always leaked and/or took forever to get to that point to not leak. (I had a vaginal birth and 14 stitches.) I work out a lot so I would often feel Diva slipping out of me. I would sometimes have to leave the class or stop running to push Diva back. I had sort of given up and figured that cups maybe were not for me anymore. I bought period panties and attempted the cup but my periods have become my monthly living nightmare. They’re much heavier and two days longer than they used to be, so that added to the issue. I started researching cups meant for post partum users and found Lena. I thought why not give my beloved cup another chance. The shape is different than a Diva cup which is quite a bit more ‘cone’ like. The Lena is shaped like a tulip. This shape gives the edge a lot more surface area to work with and structure. It also has twice as many tiny holes as the Diva which I have read are important for suction. It is also larger than the Diva which I thought I would find uncomfortable but I haven’t. It stays put and doesn’t leak. I am still quite paranoid that it is first time good luck, but I am pleasantly surprised and happy enough to write this review so other women can read that there is a cup potential for them after having a baby. ... show more

  • Great at first
Color: Gray Original Size: Small
This was the first menstrual cup I bought when I decided I wanted to stop spending so much money on tampons/pads and creating so much waste. I got the hang of how to use it very quickly which was great, and I instantly became a supporter of anyone and everyone switching over to cups if they can. I had this cup for about 2 years before I just couldn't use it anymore. They say they're supposed to last for up to five, but a couple of months ago, the pull tab started ripping off and I just knew that if I kept pushing it any longer, it was going to come off completely and I was going to have a very miserable time trying to get the rest of it out. The suction is almost too strong, and I think that was why it started ripping so quickly - I had to stretch the pull tab to its furthest extent to get it out every time. Also, The pull tab is way longer than it needs to be and I was always struggling to get it in far enough that I couldn't feel the tab. I thought that this was just the tradeoff of using a cup, but I have since gotten a different brand (JUNE) that has a pull tab that is shaped like a little ball and is much shorter/more securely attached and it has been a dream. Now, I really don't even notice I have one in anymore. Further, I have a very heavy flow and I would start overflowing from this cup after just a couple of hours in the first few days of my period, and with my new cup, I have yet to spill over. Overall, the Lena cup was great to transition out of tampons/pads, but there are definitely better options out there. ... show more
