As soon as I hung up the curtains it instantly insulated and kept my room cool. Normally it gets really hot in my room and these curtains definitely helped blocking out the light and keeping the heat out. They are truly blackout curtains with an exception of a little light peaking out of the top because of the way my curtain rod is set up. Looks like shower curtains on a rod. Does a great job of blocking out light! Color’s a nice charcoal grey and length perfect. Highly suggest. To give an idea of how well they work: I use them to block out my 3 strong grow lights and the light from large floor-to-ceiling windows.
