I have an older model Dyson V7. This fits perfectly and operates as expected. Most of my home has wood floors. This will work on carpet, but it struggles a little bit. We have two small dogs that thinks they must go outside many times a day. Those little paws can track in all kinds of dirt and grass. So, I am using this daily to keep the floors clean. I highly recommend for hard surface floors. Not sure it is a good choice for carpets.

I purchased this Lemige vacuum head as a replacement for my Dyson V8, and I’m very impressed. It snapped on easily with the quick-release design and feels very sturdy. The suction is strong, and the brush roller picks up dirt, pet hair, and debris just as well as the original Dyson head. I’ve used it on both carpet and hardwood, and it glides smoothly on both surfaces. It’s also a great value compared to buying a new Dyson-branded part. Overall, this is a perfect replacement if your original motorhead is worn out. Highly recommended!

Works good. Not the same as the original. Usually when you switch from hardwood floor to carpet the vacuum automatically kicks in to turbo mode. But when you are using this product it does not do that automatically. Also, this does have a louder sound than the original.

How can a company with a strong reputation release a product this poorly engineered? I purchased this device roughly a year ago, and it has been a complete failure from the start. The first unit stopped functioning immediately after pulling the trigger. The replacement suffered the exact same issue. They sent me a third—and even included a fourth in the package. Both experienced the same malfunction or failed from minimal impact. Four units. All defective. For a product that costs over $700, this isn’t just disappointing—it’s unacceptable. This reflects a serious breakdown in quality control and product design. I expected much better from a brand of this stature.
