I have played acoustic guitar for a few years, and decided to try an electric. I am not an expert on electric guitars, but reasonably informed. This is one of the best deals, even the guitar store full of snobs I frequent said it was a solid guitar. The good: Sturdy, high quality, and very good looking guitar. This company doesn't make a lot of guitars, they make amps and accessories, but they really understood how to make a nice entry-level guitar. It comes with a strap, tuner, strings, pics, a string cutter tool that winds your strings as well, and a gig back. It also comes with a 5w amp that plugs directly into the guitar. I thought this would be a problem, but it is out of the way and sounds great! I was also worried that I wouldn't have the sound level or quality that I wanted, but I can play it loud enough for everyone in my 1900 sq. ft. apartment to hear. I would buy this again in a heartbeat! Cons: There is no supporting documentation. If you don't know how to string a guitar, or any technical issue, you will need to look it up or youtube. The strings it comes with sound fine, but I broke 3 strings (had to buy another set of strings completely), so I would buy some extra. They aren't the best quality.

This is an almost exact replica of the Fender Squier Debut Stratocaster (ASIN: B0CSM4HPJK), but a slight bit heavier. Other than a very minor difference in the headstock (Fender is maybe 1/4 wider), the LEKATO actually has two string trees (better), they are absolutely identical. It plays fine and has decent sound quality. The kit comes with easy to use tools like an amplifier and tuner. The tuner is spot on compared to my Snark ST-2 Supertight (ASIN: B01H62TQ68). The paint/lacquer is absolutely perfectly smooth and beautifully applied. But there are a few downsides. The sunburst looks nice at a distance, but up close you can tell it was printed on with some type of inkjet printer. In the pictures you can see it is unevenly applied, so there is a line across the face of the guitar. It's quite obvious up close and detracts from the overall look slightly. Secondly - the tuner is a bit fiddly and hard to read. Fortunately it is spot on accurate and turns green when you are perfectly in tune. However, it doesn't pick up sound as well as a snark, so you have to pluck the strings quite loud, and it jumps around a lot when the string is way off tune (like out of the box). I ended up having to use my fender app to get the string in the ballpark before fine tuning with the tuner. That makes it slightly less beginner friendly. On the plus side, it does indicated the string number which helps a little. The gig bag is very cheap and not well padded, but ok for someone just taking it to guitar lessons. What's my verdict? Hard to say. Compared to the Fender - you're probably about $50 cheaper at this point after buying a cheap gig bag, amp, but better tuner. I really like the sunburst, look, but this one isn't perfect. If it were me, I'd probably be tempted to get the Fender and a decent tuner and cheap amp (you'll get access to Fender's online courses for 30 days, too) and skip the gig bag until I could afford a real case. But if you're buying for someone that is an absolute beginner, this is an ok, all in one setup. I would maybe go ahead and get the Snark, too, as I think the included tuner will be very frustrating to a newbie. Overall, it's O.K., with caveats.

TLDR: Not recommended in this price range, unless you are willing to do a little work on it after getting it. The accessories are all garbage except the little amp and it's mediocre at best. (IDK how how you can mess up string snippers, but they did.) It's hard to see in the pics, but the body was slightly scuffed when received and the pick guard would have been majorly scratched if it didn't have the plastic film on it, but thankfully it only has a minor impression across it. It seems like the Garbage tier string snippers was loose in the box so during shipping it caused problems. Sadly, I haven't been able to here how the electronics sound because both sets of strings popped when bringing them up to tune. (You Definitely want to buy a set of strings. I would suggest Ernie ball Regular Slinkies10-46 gauge, especially if your not planning to replace the Nut) Nut on the Guitar is terrible and I highly recommend replacing. The Neck it actually really nice. There's not gloss on the neck which allows smooth slides, the frets are nice and smooth and there was no major damage. The one String I was able to play felt really nice plucking for a bit, aside from the tinging from the awful nut. The bridge is actually set up really well, both the action and attenuation is set up perfectly. you might want to adjust the action a bit, especially after installing a new nut, but it is acceptable. BTW the included tuner is terrible, don't use it.

This is a good electric guitar for someone starting out on the instrument. It looks great, with an appealing sunburst finish and well-machined hardware. clear sound that will work in many styles of music, also heavy distortion for hard rock and metal players. everything is solid. Tuning stability has been good after using the included strings, which were easy to stretch out before playing. The package includes many accessories that are useful in getting started with this guitar, such as a tuner and plug-in amp. The bag that comes with it is not of high quality (I would recommend investing in something better if you plan on taking your guitar places), but it gets the job done for storage and transport. Overall, I would highly recommend this electric guitar kit to beginners who want a good starter instrument without breaking the bank.
