  • Great Experience, Quality Product
Until this purchase, I had never ordered furniture online--preferring to actually see the product, quality, color, etc. before making a purchase. Because this table was exactly what I'd been searching for, I decided to take a chance. I ordered the coffee table and two side tables, and I am delighted with my purchase. All three pieces arrived well ahead of the estimated delivery date. They were easy to assemble, and once assembled they looked exactly as advertised. The tables are sturdy (not wobbly at all), and the color is rich and polished--great quality for the price. They are a perfect fit for my living room. Based on this experience, I will not hesitate to order from this vendor again. ... show more

  • NIce table BUT INSPECT IT AS MINE HAD TERMITES (or some kind of wood eating bugs!)
The GOOD: First off I think the table for the price is very nice. You need to have the right expectations. The wood is a mix of solid wood and plywoods. The finish is not the most uniform and if you look at the table underneath it will probably be a mess. All in all I think its a decent piece of furniture for the price and not very hard to put together. I also like the size - not too big - though I feel the drawers are a little too small. The BAD: Mine came with free BUGS. Yes wood eating bugs! There was a portion of the table top that looked to have some dry rot but I honestly liked it as it just made it more distressed looking. Unfortunately after having the table in my home for a few weeks I noticed a couple small holes one day with what looked like powder all around the hole. I quickly moved the table to my garage and put painters tape over the holes. Sure enough holes were pierced thru the tape after some time confirming the presence of live critters. The small holes in the picture that appear white and very round are the bug holes! They were not there day one. Simple stores sold me the piece and they did send me another after a few emails. They finally let me dispose of it after I got upset and threatened to sue. They had been waiting for Leick to decide something. But that was their only remedy and I feel it falls short for what happened. I do have the new table in my home and several other Leick pieces so I haven't freaked out to the point of disposing of everything. ... show more

  • Good Value, Good Quality
See the 2018 review by Mark T, he is right on. Construction and finish is good. Easy to assemble. Stain color is like a red oak, a little too red for me wish there were different stain option. This manufacturer has products in almost every big box store. I would have looked around for a coffee table that had more of a brown tone stain. I tried to go to their website but had problems trying to determine if this coffee table came in different stain colors. Once unboxed it would be difficult to return. Well packaged. Only quality problem was a small block mark (stain?) on the table top. Would recommend if you are ok with the reddish stain color. ... show more

  • Assembly Instructions are not included!
This table is decent quality and looks nice. However, it arrived with damage on one corner of the top of the table probably caused in transit. I decided to use a furniture repair pen and keep the table. However, no assembly instructions were included and although it has only four main pieces and 8 bolts it is still possible to put it together wrong without the instructions (I did). I finally found assembly instructions on line on the Leick site but the amazon site did not have the model number which you need to find the instructions (8204). It was on the box so I was able to find the instructions. It took far longer than it should have to assemble because of the lack of instructions. How hard is it to put a sheet of paper in the box with instructions? Frustrating. ... show more

  • This is one beautiful sturdy coffee table!
The table top is solid wood, and it has a warm, rich finish. The drawers glide easily and hold a variety of remotes, coasters, etc. The bottom shelf is about half the thickness of the table top and it's not solid wood, but it is all wood (looks like a nice plywood with the top layer being the same wood as the table top). The side frame legs appear to be solid wood and it assembled fairly easily. A horizontal piece of the side frames was split near where the screw holes are (part of it is layered wood, not solid) but the seller, OJCommerce, was great when I contacted them. I just emailed a photo of the damaged piece and they send me a replacement piece within a few days. They were great to work with. I've had the coffee table for a couple weeks now and it is sturdy and just looks beautiful! I highly recommend it. ... show more

  • Mid-priced furniture with lower mid-level quality and construction
Construction description indicates "constructed of solid ash, solid wood construction" however there is a great deal of laminate and poorly constructed plywood materials. Table tops and edges are laminate surfaced rather than solid wood as the description would lead you to believe and many of the corners and edges of the laminate are chipped straight out of the box. Overall, dissapointing construction but not unexpected at the price point. ... show more

  • Very nice piece of furniture!
This coffee table is beautiful! I knew it would be because I recently purchased the side table and it was my favorite piece in the room. Now I have two favorites and will soon order the matching end table. If you've read the other reviews you probably noticed a couple of people had trouble supporting the bottom shelf during assembly. I assembled this table in about ten minutes. The trick is to attach the legs to the upside down top and then gently roll it onto it's back and just slide the bottom shelf in place. It supports itself in this position. I love it!!! ... show more

  • Great quality for the price
It took me a VERY long time to find a decent-looking Mission coffee table that wasn't the size of a ping pong table (what's WITH the oversized coffee table trend, anyway?) So, I was happy to find this modestly sized table and was even more pleased that it exceeded my expectations. I was afraid it might be a little flimsy or cheap-looking in person, but that's not the case. No, it's not as nice as a quarter-sawn antique but it looks pretty darn good for the price. The drawers are on metal rollers that roll very smoothly and quietly, which I think is indicative of the table's quality. It was easy to assemble and came very securely packaged - no dings or chips. It's a bit on the darker side of medium oak in color. I'm pleased with it and wouldn't hesitate to buy more of this brand. ... show more
