I chose these curtains for my living room and master bedroom, plus as a room divider between the dining room and kitchen, and for the guest room hallway. So in total, I ended up purchasing 2 sets of 52x63" as room dividers and 4 sets of 52x84" curtains for the other spots - quite an investment. The reason I chose them is because I love the pattern. I've an art lover and former art dealer, plus I've had a companion macaw for 20 years; so I love the pattern's expressionistic style and parrots including macaws. I am also impressed by the overall quality of the curtains and the artwork. They worked fine in most of the locations I'm using them but they were a disappointment when I hung them over the sliding glass doors in my bedroom. I wanted the room dark because I'm a night owl and sleep into the late morning - in very bright Florida. The item's description called them "Blackout Curtains for Sliding Door..." but they are far from blackout as you can see in the attached photos. I already had vertical blinds hanging on the doors, which are translucent and quite bright by themselves. I figured "blackout curtains" behind the blinds would be sufficient to attain the darkness I was seeking. But these curtains are just "room darkening", blocking only about 80% of the light with the blinds fully closed (first photo) and only 60-70% with the blinds behind them open. It's a good thing I also have the blinds or I would have returned the two sets of these curtains needed to cover that wide doorway. These doors lead to the covered part of the lanai so they're always shaded, never in direct sun; demonstrating even more how poorly these curtains block light. The false title here is aggravating! I took off two stars from the five stars I would have given them if they had been true "blackout" curtains. I may have to invest in yet another layer of blackout curtains between these and the blinds, or to replace the blinds, in order to achieve the darkness I need for a sound sleep - since I still want to have the artwork I love visible and matching my other BR curtains. I really want to avoid returning them though, since I love the curtains otherwise, and I have them hanging in the two small windows in that same bedroom, where I have faux-wood horizontal blinds that are much more effective at blocking light than the vertical blinds, except around the edges. Hanging a single 52x84" panel over each of the small windows gives me full blackout on those windows.

These curtains are made with high quality feeling and looking fabric that is absolutely perfect for my home in terms of color and theme. The colors coordinate well with the other nearby colors in the room but what most excites me about these curtains are the two parrots, both macaws, in each of the three occurrences of the pattern per panel. The reason: my partner and companion for the past 19 years has been a blue and gold macaw. Although the macaws on the curtains aren't the same color as my bird, just finding an artsy version of macaws like this is such a rare find and looks so good, I bought two more sets to put in my bedroom. There are curtains available that print a photo of blue and gold macaw(s) on one side, but to me, photo curtains like that are just too cheap-looking, even if they aren't cheap in price. They look like something you'd put in a kid's room. I'm an art lover and former art dealer and collector, so I much prefer high quality artwork for my furnishings. I particularly appreciate that the artwork on these curtains runs closer to expressionism than realism; what someone not in the art world might recognize as "semi-abstract." So not only did we end up with macaws as part of our furnishings; I also got large expressionist paintings to go with the other artwork hanging on my walls. I bought the shorter version of these curtains (63") to use as a room divider and partial doorway privacy screen. I wanted light to still get by because one room has lots of light that used to help naturally illuminate the adjoining room that has less window space. Just as I suspected, these curtains are so room darkening, no light passes through them but the extra space at the top and bottom of the shorter curtains lets it pass from one room to the next. I just ordered two full-size (84") curtains for my bedroom, where I want to take advantage of the room darkening ability of these curtains. I've tested these curtains against full sunlight to make sure they'll be dark enough for my bedroom and they filtered out the appropriate amount for room darkening curtains - 90%. The reviews that made a point to mention that these are not "blackout" curtains didn't read the product description carefully enough. The seller invented their own term for room darkening that these reviewers mistakenly read as "Blackout" as in total or full blackout. The product is very accurately described as "NATURAL BLACKOUT: Unlined. Block out 90% light yet allow natural light to filter in." That's just what I wanted and per my test, what I'm got and getting more of. Better hurry if you want to buy these - there were less than 20 of the combined sizes left when I wrote this and I haven't seen this pattern anywhere else.

Exactly what I wanted! They are gorgeous with my MCM piano pecan wood. Next-the room will become avacado green just like in the MCM homes when I was practicing piano lessons on the same piano in my family room.

They are beautiful!!!! One of the stars asks about sheerness but they're thick blackout curtains. They do they're job at that. The fabric is nice soft and smooth. Color and details are wonderful. They slide easily on the curtain rod. They also came with tie backs that are the same as the curtains. I love them!!
