They come with small white hooks at each strand and they were a little too small for the rod, so we ran a wire from one side to the other in the windows and worked well. We haven’t taken them down since our Halloween party, and will leave them for Christmas. I’m not quite sure how easy it will be to take them down without getting tangled, but they went up with such ease, all it would take is time to wrap them one at a time. Be sure to hand them before you unwrap and they come out easily and hang with a nice wave. Looking at the picture shown, it appears that used two or more strings to get the thickness in the photo. Mine have a bit more space between each strand and I think it looks a lot better not being a solid mass of light. Very delicate and pretty. We’ve had them plugged in 24/7 for the last two weeks or so. I love them! ... show more

I have two curtain lights I bought last year, but they didn't match (one had a coating over the wire, which I didn't like). I prefer this style of curtain lights where they are on a wire. I actually like the curly cues the strands make when you hang them, so I just let them fall after hanging, not worrying about them hanging straight. Love the timer feature and you can adjust the light flashes with the remote or by pressing the button on the USB part. My biggest complaint with these types of lights is the hanging pieces, they are too small for me to clip onto my curtain rods. I end up just draping them over the back of the curtains because they don't clip onto my rods as the diameter of the rods is bigger than what the hangers are. You kind of have to get creative to hang these. Word of caution so you (and the strands) don't get tangled. DO NOT UNWIND THE STRANDS until after you have attached the hangers to something. Undo the wires only after the curtains are hung. If you decide to remove them to store or move to another location, wind the individual strands up and secure them, before removing the hangers from the wall/curtain rod. I hung these up in my front bay window in front of a curtain. They give a nice soft glow and most of the settings are good (one or 2 are too triggering) best for me are setting 2, 6, and 8. The remote is good but you have to point it at the USB head or it doesn't work (no obstructions) so if your plug is behind something the remote is worthless. The kit comes with a horizontal string with the vertical strings attached at intervals and where each vertical string meets the main string there is a plastic hook. The cable to plug in is about 6' long which means your plug needs to be close to wherever you decide to hang this. Also the plug isn't a wall outlet it's a USB (with a power button) but there is no wall outlet included so you'll need one. I took off a star for that. ... show more

These lights are so dreamy. The ability to change and customize brightness, a timer setting, and a variety of flickering modes is great. I am normally picky to flickers for photosensitive reasons, but I am able to use a few of these with no issue. I have it hung on a wall as a backdrop to meditate and ground myself in and it is just so lovely. I almost want to pick up another one as a gift for the Holiday seasons, because it has gotten several compliments from friends and family about how magical it really makes a space feel. I was wanting to hang this by a doorway but to my surprise it turned out to be too wide for a doorway so we hung it on a wall with a tapestry for a bohemian look. the bulbs are bright and I love the different modes it offers. I only wish there was a mode for slow twinkling between LEDs.
