I had a unforseen incident that caused me to lost my place back in June of 2020. My family was very generous to let me stay with them until I could find a place to stay. Fast forward to now....yeah... They have a over the counter microwave with lights underneath. When I came to stay with them their kitchen was very dusty. Nobody did any cooking in that kitchen! They were eating take out every single day probably 3 times a day 7 days a week. So my obligation was to provide the food for the house which I have been doing. Unfortunately their microwave light bulbs blew and that part of the cooking area is very very dark. There's no way their two over head kitchen lights could illuminate underneath their microwave. So I had to resort to using two types of lights to cook. These were no problems but the battery flip switch light was getting dimmer by the minute because of the battery usage and it was hard holding my portable charging light while I cooked. It has suction cups but the problem is the power button is where the suction cups are so if I stuck it underneath their microwave I would have to take it off, turn it on, put it back underneath the microwave and then do the same to turn it off. Plus it's not heat resistant so that routine got old pretty quick. I came to Amazon looking for portable charging light bulbs and these popped up first. I immediately knew these could be what I was looking for. I looked at other portable charging lights just in case but came back to these. Let me tell you, these do not disappoint!! I have one in the bedroom closet and the other underneath the microwave. I have it set for motion and will turn them off when I go to bed. I ordered these on December 23rd and got them one day before they were suppose to arrive which was December 30th and have been using them ever since. I haven't had to charge them yet. Speaking of charging, that's one of the downsides to these lights. The charging cord is tinier than my pinky. I have to use the charger in the photo to charge these things because everywhere else has a far reach and those little cords won't work in the areas where I need to plug them. When I am able to get my place I will be permanently putting these where I need to. Right now the magnet on the back is doing what I need it to do. The three lights that originally didn't appear to have motion-sensing surprised me by suddenly developing that capability! Maybe it had something to do with ambient light, although why the first non-functional one suddenly decided to work when I opened the door of the closet it had been positioned in is beyond me. Nothing had changed, it just started working every time I opened the door when before, there was nothing, and same for the other two. Taking off a star for the delay in the motion-detection and the weak magnets on the back, but I'll actually be ordering more of these to replace battery-operated puck lights that I keep replacing batteries in because I forget to turn them off before I shut the closet door. Original review: I got these to have a light come on automatically inside closets and cabinets when you open the door. However, three of the six don't detect any motion at all, not even by waving your hand in front of them or picking them up and moving them around. Of the remaining three, only 2 work as expected; the third one only works if you wave your hand in front of it, even though the one on the shelf below it works just fine when you open the door. As others have mentioned, they tend to fall off the provided metal discs they're supposed to attach to. The magnets on the back of each light don't appear to be large enough to hold them. I'm returning these and will give them one more try, as I really l;ike the concept. If the replacements work as expected, I'll update my review and get better magnets to hold them in place. ... show more

Overall these lights are a good buy. The lights are very bright and my family loves the motion sensor. Motion Sensor makes it much easier to get a glass water in the middle of the night and not be bind by the over head kitchen lights. However, I rated this product with a 4 out of 5 due to the charging cords. I ordered a box of 6 lights, in the box was 3 charging cords for 6 lights. The cords themselves are very short so charging them can be a bit challenge. ... show more

I use the lights only for the motion detection and timer, which work really well. The only fallback is that the brightness levels do not work on the motion detection, it defaults to the brightest setting. For some rooms that is ok, but for a bathroom next to an adjoining bedroom it is to bright. I pulled the cover off and used a marker to mark over the LED lights. Looks like it may be much dimmer now and hopefully will work well. ... show more

I saw these on Amazon when I was doing a price comparison in Home Depot. I was going to get the motion sensor ones that HD had or ~$15 each, but saw these and thought I'd give them a try. Like them so much that I ordered another box of them and am dispuring them in key locations in the house so that I have light when I briefly go in the kitchen or other rooms so that I save on electricity and light bulbs. Also, they would be great for an emergency escape plan for a family as it lights the room and you can take it with you versus searching for a flashlight. ... show more

I am ridiculously pleased with these! I put one by my coffee pot because I am not ready for actual light first thing in the morning, but I am ready for coffee. Just as I approach the pot, the light comes on brightly enough for me to pour a cup. Twenty seconds later, it turns off. I put another in a dark closet and gave one away. I haven't decided where I'll put the others. They're just so great. Side note, I dropped on onto a hard floor and while the cover popped loose, I easily snapped it back into place and the light still works!! No regrets here! ... show more
