This LED ceiling light looks stunning though I wished they would've given step by step instructions to build the LED light from the manual as it was very difficult to understand. I can't wait to hang the LED lights in my bedroom. In all, I am very happy with the purchase.

I have had a ceiling fan with light kit in my office for some years. Finally got tired of it and bought this light. When I received it, I was a little skeptical as the box is compact. But once I got it on the ceiling, I fell in love. The ceiling light is "indirect" lighting, meaning the light bounces off the ceiling and then around the room leaving no dark shadows. It is very pleasant on the eyes, I can see everything clearly without a bright light in my face. The remote lets you change the intensity from very soft morning light , to bright daylight, and everything in between. Yet it's all LED so it very cheap. UPDATE: I will leave my original review text below for a full picture. Seller responded and worked diligently to remedy the issue. I can happily amend my review to that of 5 stars due to customer service alone. To begin: I WANTED to like this. I do like how it looks on the ceiling. However, it does not remember preferences. Selects whatever color temperature and brightness it wants. It's as if it is stuck in "demo mode" when it has no "demo mode." MADDENING. I wanted to install it in a traditional manner, meaning not needing the remote that is included in normal use. According to support (not in the useless manual), you should be able to select the color temp and brightness you want via the remote -- then it will retain this setting as long as you wait at least 30 seconds before turning it off at the switch. This did not prove accurate. Also, though it says dimmable, using the in wall dimmer switch produces a "hum" that should only be present if you neglect to connect it to your wiring ground. Also of note, if you want to install it traditionally, you will still have the remote IR receiver protruding from the middle of the fixture. Construction: spent an hour trying to get all 3 layers both square and parallel with each other. Seemingly impossible. If you are thinking you can live with demo mode, but you have even the slightest amount of OCD or attention to detail... You will regret this purchase. Packaging / handling: the frosted lens of the light showed indications that it had rubbed (at some point) the black finish as it was lightly present. Wiping with basic cleaner did not correct. A stronger cleaner would be needed, which based on a basic visual inspection I would give my UNTESTED opinion that doing so would also remove the "frosted" finish on the lens. ... show more
