This is the 3rd Leatherman Skeletool because I like the design very much. I bought the first one in 2012 and broke the pliers trying to twist off some metal banding. The lesson is that you cannot twist the pliers sideways because they are strong in the cutting direction, but not too strong in the other direction. Leatherman replaced this broken one and I lost it, so I had to replace it with a similar one. Overall, these are very light and have pliers, screwdriver, and knife which get a lot of use every day because it fits in my pocket with its clip like any small knife. Very practical and I love it.

Works perfectly, have never lost the screwdriver attachment. My brother and I both use this for just about EVERY DIY project, yes even the tasks it is not made for. Why? because it is always in your pocket, it is just easier to grab than anything else and it always works! We take these mountain biking, camping, anytime we start on projects around the house, this thing is in our pocket. I built almost an entire campervan using this skeletool. Make sure you know if you are ordering the kind with serrated blade or non serrated, based on your preference. I buy these as gifts as well and they are a bit hit.

I like the black/tan version in particular. This is my favorite compact multi-tool and I've used them for awhile. The tools it offers are useful and practical. The blade is the same as the KBX pocket knife which is a good handy size. The 2 screwdriver bits fit a variety of screws and though it's more of a novelty, why not have that bottle opener too? The finish is decent. I've had this thing acciedentaly drop out of my pocket and hit the concrete with minimal scuffing and it also doesn't rust easily which is nice for those living in humid areas or near seawater. Would be a nice little gift too.

I work in Engineering/Maintenance in an automotive factory. This is a handy tool to always have in your pocket. Pliers are really sturdy and have great grip. The cutters in the pliers have so far cut most small gauge control wire without need for sharpening. The knife is easy to take in and out and wont come open in your pocket. The only negative is the screw driver attachments. The Phillips that was in the handle was gone within 3 weeks. The Flathead I kept in the bottom of the handle since i used it the most was gone just recently. Hopefully they turn up if I take apart the washing machine.

This tool has come in handy when I forget to bring certain items into a repair job. I repair washers and dryers and this thing has gotten me out of a pickle, as I keep it in my pocket. The pliers are hard to get used to, as this was my first Leatherman. Opening and closing this multitool gets easier the more you use it. The included Philips and flathead bit work great and lock in place fairly easy. The area where you can store an extra bit works perfectly and holds the extra bit securely. The blade in sharp out of the box and can easily be sharpened due to the type of steel it is. The pocket clip is deep and tight, you don’t have to worry about it falling out of your pocket. The wire cutters work good for snipping aluminum dryer vent duct. All in all, a great tool with a fantastic 25 year warranty from Leatherman. I would recommend it to anyone looking for something to EDC
