It is a lovely book, I purchased it as a gift and believe it will suit the occasion/purpose perfectly, my only slight concern was that while it feels nice it does smell slightly like chemicals...just odd. Not awful just a smell I hope goes away once it airs out. But very pretty

It's a cute little designed book, but the paper doesn't hold some inks well, and it can be brittle resulting in crumbling and tearing. However, because of its porous texture it takes to various mediums well. I also recommend using modge podge for anything you might glue in the pages. Temporary tattoos sealed with modge podge look incredible on the paper as well for borders. I broke off the latch - which wasn't easy - and replaced it with a lock. I also spruced up some of the edges and hole left behind by the latch with gems and pearl beads. My only real gripe is how easily the pages bleed or how your writing is essentially embossed into the other side of the page, making this book's page count decrease by half. I found a balance though. I cover the opposite sides with pictures or designs of some kind to hide the bleed throughs. ... show more
