  • Great for a multitude of reasons
Style: Fine Motor Game
We first played this game with my son’s occupational therapist. My son loved it so much we got our own for home. It’s great for sensory seeking kids (the noodles and the other ingredients are so soft and wiggly- great quality), it’s great for fine motor skills (using “chop sticks” to pick up ingredients, and spinning the spinner), and emotional regulation (you’ll know what I’m talking about when someone gets the hot pepper). There are multiple ways to play this game, and it can also be played for fun solo. My 3 year old loves to play by himself spinning the spinner and picking out what it lands on when he’s not playing a round with his brothers. Definitely going to gift this on birthdays/holidays for littles we know. Five stars! ... show more

  • Fun little game
Style: Fine Motor Game
Purchased new on sale and seems like a fun game. I have 4 kids under 10 who played together and both enjoyed and got frustrated with the game. The instructions explain 3 different ways to play the game. Initially we played where we also grabbed the pepper if we landed on the blue star. The blue star is really only for ingredients you need but as I tead in other comments people talking about how there are a lack of pieces. There is a purpose of this but as we started playing per instructions where you can only pepper if you land on pepper, you will have a higher chance of being unable to get the piece you need. Using two spots for pepper like we started can drag out game play it can give a higher chance of being able to grab the piece you need. If two people are playing though and using one card each, I doubt you would run in to an issue as much with lack of pieces. Not too sure as we played with 4 for our first time at the game. Fun game and I like that they gave 3 different ways to play the game. Definitely do recommend making some "house rules" to adjust game play to better fit your needs if you can. The noodles are the favorite pieces in the game! They wiggle and stretch. I thought these would all be hard pieces but they're not :) We recommend this game as it can be both fun and frustrating if you have to start your bowl over. ... show more

  • Game Value is a Bit Lacking
Style: Fine Motor Game
Okay I've gotta be straight: the game value just isn't there. I absolutely love how the pieces feel, my nephew loved counting the pieces and playing with the rubbery noodles and veggie bits, but the "games" are really more like tasks. Even using the spinner is super boring because it has so many options it could land on, but most of the recipe cards don't feature more than 3 items. This becomes a problem when the spinner doesn't land on anything called for, multiple spins at a time, so players just keep taking turns spinning until someone finally lands on an ingredient they need... but then the slog begins all over again. It takes forever to "win," and I don't know any 3-7 year olds who have that much patience. I think the tongs ("chopsticks") are great for practicing coordination, and the pieces have a lovely tactile quality. It's worth it just to have a fun noodle playset for imaginary cooking. But calling it a game feels like a bit of a stretch. ... show more

  • My 5 year old loved it!!!
Style: Fine Motor Game
My son is currently in preschool and is having some trouble properly holding a pencil/crayon.. his teacher advised me to help him with his motor skills to strengthen his hands at home and did give me some little tongs like the ones used in this game. Upon some searching on Amazon I came across this game and it is exactly what I was looking for. My son loved it so much he didn’t want to stop playing. Definitely recommend! ... show more

  • My 3 yo old these!
Style: Fine Motor Game + Big Feelings Pineapple
Bought these for my 3yo boy and he loved them both way more than I ever expected. He doesn't play the ramen game, but he loves to play with all the noodles and ingredients. For the pineapple, he's always changing the faces and associates them with emotions. I highly recommend it!

  • Very Fun and Easy to play
Style: Fine Motor Game
So fun that my 2 year old is begging to play it! It is great for fine motor skills and even sorting, if you don't play the game. Game is easy enough for a 2 year old with some guidance. Favorite purchase so far from Amazon.

  • Makes me want to eat Ramin noodles
Style: Fine Motor Game
I purchased this game for my 22 month old daughter. She loves it and wants to play every day. We saved the menu cards for when she us a little older. For now we are practicing taking turns and spinning the spinner. We are also making progress w learning to hold and use the chopsticks. It is definitely a game that can grow with her over time and incorporates all sorts of skills from motor to social. This is the best game I have found that is fun and usable for an almost 2 year old. Warning this game will give you the munchies. ... show more

Played this with my young kids and they loved it. They really liked all the different "food" pieces. I am going to take it to work and play too (I am an Occupational therapist), it is great for fine motor fun.
