This has been a great rake for getting leaves out of beds without pulling out the mulch. I use rubber mulch in some beds, and given the cost, I don't want to lose any to raking. You have to use a light hand when raking to avoid pulling mulch, but it's much better than using a metal tine rake. The build quality is better than I expected given the price point (under 15 bucks). The pole is decently sturdy and the rake head is made of pretty thick plastic. The bolts holding the head to the pole are of good quality, and I like that the nuts have nylon inserts to keep them from backing out. Tools are provided for assembly, and are actually of good quality. While a metal rake is the best tool for heavy-duty raking, this rake provides a gentler approach that won't disturb mulch or tear up the lawn. 5 stars
