My goal was simply to buy notebooks that would simply work. Then I saw these and thought "Why not buy BETTER notebooks???" I use them everyday! Be good to myself! I'm glad I did. They are clearly better quality paper. They look snazzy and very professional. The wire frame is sturdy. And until I was about to write this review, I didn't realize I was supporting a small, artisan business. I did notice the description indicated the paper size was A4 AND 8.5" x 11". This product is A4. That's OK with me, but look for the 8.5" x 11" version if that's important to you. ... show more

Fountain pen friendly paper! No feathering, no bleedthrough! Smooth finish. Takes ink well. Big, sturdy wire binding The cover is very basic - stiff paperboard. Amazing for writing Carnatic classical music notation. Fountain pen inks don't smudge and the paper has a beautiful feel. I can now preserve my notations well.

My main concern when picking a journal was not only the page count, but if it would be good for my Lamy Safari fountain pen. While there is a gritty feeling when you write—that is, if you care about the glossy, sliding-on-air feel you get from the pages of, let’s say, a Leuchttrum 1917 or a Rhoda pocketbook notebook—there’s no bleeding nor is there ghosting; it’s pretty much perfect for its price. I was expecting something good enough not what would becomw my favorite notebook! This notebookakes me want to write on it. It feels good to hold, the pages are "like butter," and the rings make each page easy to use. I think this is all that I'm buying from now on!

I bought these as journals, to write in with fountain pens. The paper is sturdy, has a tooth. Feathering and bleedthrough are minimal. Basically a good product.
