My father passed away almost two months ago. He was a craftsman by trade. You name it, he could build it. I have four children, who he loved dearly. My dad got to build my oldest three children special keepsakes that they one day will be able to pass to children of their own. However, he was never able to make my youngest a keepsake. I came across this a few days ago and I just screamed keepsake. My father taught my children so much about God. I just knew it would be perfect. When it came in today I immediately started opening it and when I tell you it is perfect, I mean it. It is just perfect. It is so much larger than I anticipated. The colors are so vibrant and attention grabbing. It was so easy to put together and it is rather easy to brake down into three sections for transporting. I am simply over the moon that this piece will be given to my son on his second birthday tomorrow and that it will one day be passed down to his children. My father would be just as proud, if not more. There are not enough words to express how thankful I am for this wonderful gift.

Very nice gift but as soon as I open the box I noticed the hipo was broken. Very fragile and easy to break. They should replace parts.

EDIT: Putting my extended thoughts at the front of my original review. In the time since I wrote this, two more animals have broken - a kangaroo lost its tail and a giraffe lost its nose. My toddler threw the giraffe, but the kangaroo was due to normal play. I don't feel like the wood is very sturdy if light pressure or normal play can cause it to sheer off. My toddler also took great delight in coloring my walls with the animals. Just be aware of that. Something I also did not mention in my original post was the smell. This thing smelt of chemicals so badly I was getting headaches and nausea until I moved it into the garage. It spent 2-3 months in the garage before I brought it back in the house for play. The company never contacted me about the broken elephant. While I like this set and think it is lovely, I do not endorse this product. Maybe for a child over 5yrs old, but not for a younger one. Even then... the smell and dissipation time are too much to deal with. Original: The product was received intact as a gift from my mother in law to my baby. However in the first few seconds of play the nose broke off the elephant. The baby was not rough with it. I did press and wiggle the other elephant's nose to check its sturdiness and it seems okay. Over all the set is lovely and will be a great toy as the baby grows. It would just be nice if the manufacturer could send me some super glue or a new elephant to replace the broken one.

I love the way this set looks!! It’s the best play ark I’ve seen! However the animals are extremely fragile! They are made of wood yes but the wood is to soft and just from light general play the legs have broken off multiple animals. Thankfully super glue seems to keep them together but I am disappointed in the quality for the high price that this set is.

The media could not be loaded. 16 month old twins received this as a gift from their great nana, the animals are beautifully made and durable! The ark itself is heavy and great quality. Super easy to set the top part up directions simple to understand. Took less than five minutes to do.. I love that the side doors open to get animals out as well as the front and also you can take the yellow top off to take animals out as well.
