I really wanted to love this soap as it has exquisite, simple, natural ingredients. Unfortunately, the smell was just too strong for me. It did not give me any allergic reactions, skin or otherwise, it just seemed too overwhelming and I'm not sure what causes the scent as my product only listed four ingredients and smelled much stronger than green tea extract!

Yes, I really do like this Le Joyau D'Olive Green Tea Mystique soap, but I certainly did not plan to. In fact, prior to taking my morning shower with it, I was trying to figure out how to be kind when writing about how it dried my skin, assuring me that I should continue to use my liquid body wash. I could not have been more wrong. When I unwrapped my tiny but well-designed cardboard box that contained the soap, which was covered in a single layer of tissue paper inside, the fragrance popped out at me. I liked the fragrance immediately and placed the unused but attractive handmade bar inside my shower. Before long, I noticed my bathroom had picked up the fragrance, making it a more pleasant place to be. I know this because I went in there more times than needed just to bask in it. This morning came the moment of truth, when I was going to create a dry skin catastrophe on this cool, breezy day in pursuit of trying this soap for the first time. As an elderly female know-it-all, I have not used soap in many years, preferring instead to use bath gel or body wash or shower gel or however the latest detergent (really what these things are) is identified. I will point out that my body wash is not inexpensive either. My routine has been to shower with the body wash and then apply moisture lotion afterward. I used my new soap and found it to lather sufficiently, and I enjoyed the fragrance while showering. The first thing I noticed was how good my skin felt. I was very surprised that it did not seem to make my sensitive skin feel dry as I applied my body lotion. Hours later, my skin is still not showing signs of dryness, which it always does when I use the body wash followed by the same body lotion. The ingredients in this soap are not at all drying, yet it seemed to feel, in the shower, that I was squeaky clean. After drying off, I noticed no strong scent remaining on my skin. As noted on the information page, there are very few ingredients in this soap, and the main ingredient is virgin olive oil. My original plan was to use this once and then move it into my spare bathroom to make it smell good. My plans have since changed. It will remain in my bathroom, and I will continue to use it instead of returning to my body wash. My reason for this decision is that my bathroom smells great, and my skin is clean but not dry and feels wonderfully smooth. How long this small bar of soap lasts is yet to be determined, but my feeling is that it should last longer than soaps that are not made as carefully as this one. I am happy to recommend this soap to anyone looking for a luxury bathing experience where the result is clean skin without the loss of moisture, even in cold weather, and a lingering fragrance that just might make you want to visit your bathroom more often than needed. It would also make a lovely and thoughtful gift.

This is a beautifully crafted bar of soap that is delicately scented with the softest blushing rose scent. The most luxurious lather comes from this bar of soap and cleanses your skin so gently. Your skin is left clean and soft, and the blushing rose scent lingers just enough, and is not overpowering. I have sensitive skin and this does not irritate it in the least. Excellent value.

A polarizing scent, it's strong enough to fill the room, and get to the next one, and lingers for awhile. Very pine, I personally love it but more sensitive nosed people in my house can't use it. It dries out my hands if I use it often. The bar is very long lasting, I have barely made a dent in it and I've been using it as my main handwashing soap. Overall I would recommend it to those that love pine.
