I’ve been looking for a good wine decanter for over a year now. What I’ve previously found have been similar but of cheap quality though not necessarily inexpensive. Even similar decanters in high-end wine stores have been expensive junk. I was so pleased to have found this decanter. Its size is perfect, the quality is excellent, and the price is $20 cheaper than the one I recently saw at an expensive wine store. I even appreciate the tutorial on how long to decant different wines in the product description. This purchase has made a great difference in the flavors and aromas of my wines. Even in less expensive bottles, the bitter aftertastes are greatly diminished. I love this decanter. Be sure to buy the cleaning and drying tools to make caring for this carafe a breeze. Love this decanter! The large flat bottom works really well and the large opening makes it easy to poor a bottle of wine into it. Cleaning is easy. Just rinse it out after use. Then add some Dawn dishwashing soap and swish around with warm water and rinse thoroughly. I like to dry it with a micro-fiber cloth on the outside and then place it on the inside and then shake and rotate with the cloth inside. When finished, just use a small wire brush to remove the cloth. Lastly, this company has EXCELLENT customer service. The first decanter had a small chip in it so I notified them immediately. They responded and processed my claim for a new one the very next day. Five days later it was sitting on my porch. ... show more

Within 30 minutes there’s a noticeable taste difference in full bodied reds, and within an hour it’s much better. Even my fiancé, who doesn’t like dry reds, says it makes them drinkable for her. She doesn’t shudder when she tastes them lol. Adding a cleaning kit and a drying stand for this is crucial, just order it now because you’ll need it. The glass doesn’t feel brittle and the pouring edge works excellent to minimize drip off the edge and down the outside of the glass. ... show more
