I bought this because my previous data-sync charger had stopped working properly, and I needed one to transfer files across my devices. Fortunately, this aspect works exactly as promised, and files are in fact transmittable without issue. As well, it functions perfectly as a standard charger. I unfortunately cannot speak for it's long-term durability, as I've only had it for a short amount of time. However, the charger seemed reasonably durable for me compared to the ones I've used. I'd argue the price is perfect for the length of the charger and it's reliability; hell, only seven dollars for it is almost a steal for it in my opinion. It's nothing revolutionary, no doubt about it. But, if you need a compact charger that can send files to your other devices, I haven't come across a better overall option than this one. ... show more

The only reason I didn't write durability is that I have only had it for a couple of weeks. When I first plugged it into my car, it would not connect to Apple CarPlay. I decided to return it, but then gave it some thought, and realized that I had just purchased a new iPhone 15 Pro and the Apple CarPlay had to recognize the phone. After that, it easily connected to Apple CarPlay. I used to have a 6 inch cord and I like the 12 inch much better because it enables me to pick it up if I have to see something on the screen. This cable should be ideal for copying data from a mobile phone to a computer. Logistics required a 10 foot cable connecting USB 3.1 Type A and Type C. The signal was cutting out on a cheaper cable, even with a powered splitter. In my case, this cable provides clear signal, no cutting out and no in line amp (powered splitter).

cable is too thick and kinda heavier though. I got the 3 ft (which im glad i did) and it was about the right length between USB and Phone holder on my Tacoma. Just watch out for the 6ft coz u might think you'll be running an internet cable inside ur car though. LOL i wouldn't mind the thickness I hope it is as durable as it look.
