Sheets are well-sewn with no threads hanging. Quality weight and soft to the touch. Washed cold water first to set the dye. Color is a deep charcoal gray. Very elegant on the bed. Will buy another set.

First of all, for 1k thread count 100% Egyptian cotton, I expected them to be much softer. Mostly, I'm very disappointed by the size. The description stated it fit mattresses up to 18in deep, which ours is, but it barely fits over the edges. At first I thought maybe I ordered or received the wrong size but I dis not. For the price I expected to be very happy, but I feel it was a waste of money.

**After my first 1 star review I was offered a refund or a new set of sheets. I decided to try a new set with the hope that I just happened to get a bad set the first time. There was only one color option at this point but I said ok anyway. When the new ones arrived I thought for sure they were going to be what I was expecting. Right out of the package they were soft and almost silky. Then I washed them and dried them. As the pictures show, they are very wrinkled coming straight from the dryer. The softness and silkiness I felt when I took the out of the packaging was gone. I added a star to my original review only because I appreciated the effort the company made to try to make it right. Unfortunately it is still very disappointing product that I can’t recommend.** I looked at all of the sheets and the ratings on Amazon. This one was highly rated. I’m not sure if I was either sent the wrong one or I got a bad set, but these sheets are not soft at all. When I opened the package they felt extremely stiff, but I figured it was because they needed to be washed. So I washed them and dried them (with fabric softener). It did nothing. They’re still stiff. For the price, I am so disappointed. I don’t get all of the multiple star ratings from others.
