I used it to spread leveling material on my lawn, and it worked great for that purpose. Be sure you're pushing it straight, and avoid uneven loads or it WILL get twisted up/bent where the handle attaches. The finish on it is really nice, it's really easy to assemble, and it came with all the hardware and tools needed to assemble it. For a homeowner/DIY job this is a great tool, but I'd not recommend for big jobs, or commercial use.

This is the rake you need to use before spreading seed. It really helps in making sure you aren't seeding and then having to get out bumps on the lawn.

I ordered this to help me fill in areas of out lawn that have been undermined by moles. I like how large the head is because I can cover so much ground at once. My son has been doing mulching for our neighbors and it's made the jobs much quicker than usual. The anti-rust coating is holding up very well to all the use and cleaning afterward.

While the metal pieces themselves are hefty, the connections themselves are insufficient. The handle screws come loose within minutes and the thin metal U connecting the handle to the frame is too soft to handle the torque. I bent it much too easily but because it's soft, I was able to bend it back. It will eventually break if it keeps happening so I'm going to have to come up with a solution to strengthen this weak spot. Overall, not heavy duty enough for a 48" wide tool that will be pushing a lot of heavy sand back and forth all day.

We were unable to get this together with the tools provided. the threads of the bolt and nuts that attach the rake to the handle rod were off slightly and impossible to align, so it threaded, but took a drill and bit to get to tighten. the rest we needed a second wrench. The poles that make up the handle are attached to each other using a single hex bolt, and no lock washers or anything were provided. As its used, this starts to come loose, so keep an eye on that so the handle stays attached! If you are able to jerry rig it with power tools and extra washers like we were, and its on a good deal compared to other options, I would get this rake. If you are looking for easy quick assembly I would look elsewhere.

This has been great! It is super durable and has a coating on the outside to prevent rusting. I have even left this outside for a couple weeks now (my mistake) and it has still be awesome! No rust and has held up extremely well. It is very easy to use and has worked perfectly on my lumpy lawn. I purchased a bunch of top soil and I am super excited to have that flat golf course yard. My neighbors have already seen me use this and now I am lending it out all the time. Great all around and I love the wide base of the tool. It saves a ton of time. No complaints here!
