It was easy to put those under my shoes - I wear a 9,5 mens size. My shoes only protrude the platform a little bit. The straps are long enough for bigger shoes and hold on tight. The spikes are very sturdy and sharp. We have sandy-loam soil here so it was a bit of a workout to "walk" around the lawn. It definitely left deep holes in the ground. I had to walk the lawn several times though and that took me a while. The straps stayed in place very well. After usage I cleaned the aerator shoes with the small stainless steel shovel, a hard brush and my garden hose and let it dry to store them. Over all it is a good tool if you have only a smaller lawn or want to do parts of a bigger area at a time.

The media could not be loaded. These came today and since I was giving my grass a little water I couldn’t wait to try them out. I had running type shoes on so I strapped these on right out of the box and away I went. Easy to put on, the spikes went right into the grass. They were actually easier than I anticipated. I have been giving my grass a little bit of water over the past few days so the soil was soft. I readjusted a couple of the straps after about 10 minutes just to make sure they were snug. As long as you’re paying attention to where you’re stepping and not trying to go too fast, these should work great for you too!

I got this to simplify the process and it has been a huge help. I didn't want to go around individually making holes. Gladly, this made it super easy. I didn't even have to bend down to put them in. Instead, this helped make evenly spaced out holes which is good for the backyard. All I have to do is walk around the grass with these on and they do the work for me. I have issues with my ankles so this made it much safer for me as well. This one item has been a great find. It saved me a lot of time, energy, money, and even discomfort in my ankles. Works well, but a little hard to use. I'd advise using a walker or at least a cane/stick to help keep your balance while using them. It's not as easy to walk in these as I thought it would be and can be a real workout with how hard it can be to pull your feet out. Obviously don't go walking with these on concrete or hard surfaces, and be careful with the pointy end when putting them on.

These lawn aeration shoes are good enough to do the trick. While it's not going to work nearly as well as a coring machine, simply walking around your lawn wearing these is going to allow air to access deeper in the soil than normal, and that can help roots expand, seeds and fertilizers sink deeper into the soil, and generally promote better growth for your grass. I'll use these when I mow, because outside of walking a bit more deliberately, that's all that you should need to do to help your lawn look nicer.

I wan't sure what to make of these when I received them but I did some research and put them to work. I appreciated the fact that these aerator shoes came preassembled. they looked like "snow shoes" with spikes. They include three additional spikes , a wrench for assembly and a mini-shovel to clean and clear the soil from the underside. It took a bit of getting used to, walking in these things. I found that I had to be very deliberate in my steps to avoid things like tree roots and my sprinkler heads. In fact, I marked out my sprinkler heads before I started to avoid damaging them. In addition, I chose to place a chair in the grass to better aid me in removing the soil underneath the "shoes" and to start using them. Avoid concrete surfaces as they can be pretty slippery on hard surfaces !! I found these to be fairly well made. I do think they could be somewhat thicker. I found that during use, it is better to strap them on as tightly as you can. I used water boots in my case, just to avoid the dirt and to aid in cleanup at the end. The other thing I was unsure about was the fit.. The website had indicated that these were for mens shoe size 6-9. I am as 12.5. They still worked. This is likely because the straps are secured with Velcro and can be adjusted to your fit. Overall, I was able to aerate my front lawn, which was my intended purpose

This left good deep holes in my lawn as I walked around. Make sure you get them on good and tight. Don't walk on concrete with them. Also take some small slow steps starting off. It takes some practice. It definitely does a good job.

I was wearing sneakers today, and I slipped my feet into these and strapped them in. It was very easy to secure them to my feet. I walked around the yard and aerated it. It was super easy. Not too much stuck to the spikes. I stomped my feet on the sidewalk to clean the bottom off.
