Reviewing LAVENDER VIOLETS Acrylic Nail Kit – I’m a beginner with acrylic nails. This set is perfect for me. It includes everything I need to get started and to learn. It is going to take some practice since there is a certain amount of finesse required to make the nails look good, properly sized and shaped, but I know with practice, I’ll get there. The three colors included are exactly as described: white, pink and clear. The nail forms are easy to shape, and the tools included are great quality. It even comes with some rhinestones. I am not a fan of the file shape, but I can use my own file with this kit. I wish there were better instructions about how to use the kit but I supplemented what was there with YouTube videos. Overall, I think this is a great value but I am removing one star for the instructions not being more helpful. Also, keep in mind the smell can be overpowering to those who are sensitive. As soon as I opened it, the smell was so strong I was sure some had leaked out but it hadn't. It was just that strong of a smell.

I really like this brand. I have some of their other nail products, like nail polish and I have always enjoyed their products. This kit is no different. Everything you need is here in this kit. I don't like the file so much, but I have my own, and to me this is not a deal breaker or a reason to take the rating down. It's just a file, they are cheap and easy to find one you like. Beyond that, everything else in the kit is good quality and is very easy to work with. I am super happy with it. The powders are nice, you get a decent amount and they are super easy to work with. The nail forms are easy to shape and use. The monomer is decent and while it does smell, most do. The dappen dish is nice and thick and shouldn't break or get cracked. The nail brush is nice, easy to hold, very versatile, easy to use, and the bristles stay put. It is also easy to clean. I am not a big rhinestone fan personally (for on my own nails because of the nature of my job), but these are nice rhinestones that should stay looking good for a while and are nice and shiny/sparkly. They are easy to apply as well. One downside to this is that while this is great for beginners, you will need to look up videos or find a tutorial elsewhere. This does not come with detailed instructions. I have not taken a star off for this because I think most people would prefer a video for doing nails because it's hard to describe the process on paper in an effective way - compared to a video tutorial. I do think it should come with them, in case someone prefers that method, but I don't think it is a huge deal since there are plenty of outside resources to use. Overall, this is a good value kit. Easy to use, good quality. There is not really a learning curve, it just needs some practice. This is great for beginners, as it has everything you need to create a beautiful classic French tip set. Would recommend this, it is very nice.

After trying to do acrylic nails a while back with no success, I decided to try again and ordered this Acrylic Nail Kit for Beginners from Lavender Violets. I think for me these beginner kits need to have a tech on call to answer questions and send instructional pictures. This kit includes three good-sized acrylic powders in pink, white and clear, a small bottle of monomer, a size 12 nail brush, a nail file, curved tweezers, dappen dish, 20 nail forms and a package of rhinestones. There is also a instruction card, which is pretty much useless. After looking up various videos and watching them I tried to accomplish something with this kit, but the powder was not cooperating. I did pay attention to the ratio and tried several times to get the bead looking like the one in the picture, to no avail. Then I tried a different acrylic brush thinking that was the problem, but the powder and monomer always looked either too dry or too wet. Please note, I am not blaming the powder for this mixture fail, I suspect it is due to my lack of expertise. I wish they would provide links to videos using this actual product so that I can see what I am doing wrong. The nail forms are a mystery as well, since these were never included in acrylic kits I've ordered before. Again, a video showing exactly how to use these would be very, very helpful. All I can say at this point is that everything included seems of good quality except there is not enough monomer liquid to use up all the powder. Adding the rhinestones to this beginner's kit is a nice touch, it gives a creative edge to an otherwise basic kit so that users can get an inkling of how their imagination can play a big part when creating designs. This kit is currently selling for $13.99 and I do think that that is a good value for the quality of the items included, but if it is truly a beginners kit please provide more instructional information so that we can use the kit efficiently.

I have been wanting to learn how to do my own acrylic nails for a long time. I felt like a professional opening my new kit! Unfortunately I have a lot of research to do on my own because the instructions weren't clear enough for a newbie like myself. I have been to the salon many times but it's not as easy as it looks to get the correct bead. I'm not going to give up, but the chemical smell was so overpowering it freaked me out... Like I should do it outside. I know it says this kit is for beginners but I think you need at least some knowledge/experience first. I will say that it does come with everything so it's a great price for this kit.

Youll need to supply primer and dehydrator. It's not a bad kit. you get most of what you need to do a set of nails. I found the acrylic to be slow drying, maybe a bit too slow for my taste but it didn't seem abnormal. Just flows a bit much for me. It still hardened just fine and my nails feel secure. I like the color of the pink acrylic powder, it's nice.
