    • Helps me to avoid taking acetaminophen or ibuprofen for my frequent headaches

I didn't purchase this thinking that I would get medicinal headache relief in the same way that acetaminophen or ibuprofen provides; I know each of these mechanisms work differently. I was, however, hopeful that this could afford me a socially-acceptable way to indulge in a deliberate self-gratification ritual designed to relieve stress, which in turn could speed recovery from a migraine or lesser headache. For this purpose, the rollerballs are excellent. I get migraines frequently enough to be worried about the cumulative negative effects of OTC pain medications on my stomach. I'm trying to avoid taking medications unless I absolutely can't function. The rollerball helps me go longer without needing to take anything for the pain. The smell is a bit intense, but I think it is designed to catch your attention so your mind's stressful processes can shut down for a little bit. Something more gentle might not be as effective. That's my theory, anyway. I know with a migraine, strong scents offend, but I think the quality of the scent matters. A high-quality, strong scent can still be pleasant even with a migraine, and as this product demonstrates, can even be helpful. ... show more

The description says diluted, and that certainly appears to be the case. I wanted to wear it as a perfume, but the scent disappears about five minutes after it's applied.
