  • Excellent in all respects!
Color: Black
Excellent in all respects! Very easy to set up with everything I needed to connect including the USB charge plug. Very good instructions. Very easy to connect to my devices. Connected to my LDAC bluetooth player immediately and held a strong consistent signal. Sound great, sound very clear, lows mids and highs are well balanced and it looks great. A great addition to any vintage receiver or preamp that does not have bluetooth OR has old version of bluetooth that cannot read the current best bluetooth signals. This unit is NOT battery operated but rather required power using the included cord and plug. Perfect for my application. I recommend! ... show more

  • Delivers the audio quality it promises
Color: Black
Pros: -Fast/easy to set up -Recognized immediately by my compatible phone as a BT 5.0 AptX HD receiver -Great high-fidelity audio -Better range than my old low-fi Logitech receiver, even when receiving HD signal Cons: -Occasional split-second skip or buffer in audio, maybe one skip once every few listening sessions. Not enough to bother me, but the old receiver didn't do it as long as I was in range. Could be my phone though, and not a significant frustration for me either way. -Included RCA cable is not audiophile quality in the least bit - better to ship without one than to include one that will destroy all the fidelity you're gaining by using the HD broadcast; if you don't already have one, include in the budget a good optical or well-shielded RCA analog cable separately Overview: This unit does what it says. Before you spend the (significant) price premium on one of these over a standard bluetooth receiver (they're about 5x the cost), make sure you have equipment that can take advantage of the boost in fidelity, and are planning on using a high-fidelity audio source. Everything from the source file's compression to your amplifier, speakers, and the cables that connect the bluetooth receiver to the amplifier and the amplifier to the speakers will impact the sound quality, and you won't get your moneys worth out of a high-fidelity bluetooth receiver if you're injecting a bunch of noise up- or down-stream. If you already have good kit, this unit sounds noticeably better than the name-brand non-HD bluetooth receiver I was using previously. The sound stage, accuracy, and tonal clarity, especially at the extreme frequency ranges, is remarkably better. LFE and subwoofer output is crisper, less muddled, and the highs are more distinct and less shrill. Instruments and sounds come across more distinct from each other, and little tonal elements are more noticeable. This all means if you're playing 128khz or worse compressed MP3's or most internet radio as a source, you may end up hearing MORE distortion (compression artifacts), not less. But if your source is a clean, high-fidelity source, it's worth the money. 320khz MP3's and FLAC files are great, as are HD or "lossless" internet radio sources. But bottom line is it's only worth the money if you know the rest of the puzzle is already sorted. ... show more

  • Good sound, poor reception, clicking noises.
Color: Black
This was purchased to connect two cell phones and drive a 35 year old Dennon amp into 35 year old Polk and 8 year old M-Audio Speakers into my 65 year old ears. Nothing advanced, plain stereo setup with MP3s gathered over the years and Spotify streaming. Output is via the RCA jacks into the amp. Overall sound is good. It's a bit louder than direct wire connect and volume control was a bit shaky at times. Sound is V shaped. Slightly boosted in lows, upper mids and treble. This gives good clarity to vocals and is not fatiguing after hours of listening. Setup took a few tries to connect but now works fine. Supplied cables and power supply are fine. Instructions are fine. Build is solid. No heat issues. There is a clicking sound emanating from the device for every phone operation: connecting, changing tracks, etc. It's not annoying but uncanny. Thought it was a keeper. One issue: Unstable connectivity. In this 1700 sq ft, single level house, connectivity is spotty after 35 feet. When moving into far off rooms, it's unusable. The 100 ft advertised range of a stable signal was not possible even with direct line of sight through two panes of window glass. This is a show stopper since the phone lives in my shirt pocket and I'm moving around the house inside and outside. Barring that, it's a good device but it's getting returned. It's since been replaced with a BlueMe HD. This has flatter sound closer to a direct line out/in. Sound can always be controlled using those old fashion tone controls on the amp or with the phone's EQ. Best of all I can be anywhere in the house or in the near yard and the signal is solid. It could simply be attributed to a larger antenna. Hope this helps. ... show more

  • Worthless
Color: Black
Tried hooking up to my audio mixer so I could stream audio for movies from my laptop. Also wanted to use it for stream audio from my phone to my mixer without having to dance through a midfield of cords. Had great audio for all of about 5 minutes. Then it just constantly would cut out. Making this ear splitting static feedback. Have tried multiple cord types from cheap to heavily shielded ones. Have tried multiple searches online to fix this issue but it seems short of disconnecting every single electrical device, including evidently just me walking past it,there is nothing I can do about. It's a completely worthless piece of garbage. Doesn't even make a satisfying sound when thrown at a wall. ... show more

  • Excellent bluetooth receiver for home stereo rack
Color: Black
Excellent bluetooth receiver! I have a monster audio rack and until now, I had to depend on my laptop and a behringer optical adapter to listen to my Spotify or Apple Music playlists. Now this device connect directly to my desktop computers or iPhone via bluetooth and the sound quality is amazing. I use its optical output as well for maximum fidelity. So far, it has never lost a signal and I've played music through it as long as 7 hrs straight. I highly recommend it. ... show more
