This comforter was for a guest room. The guest room has lots of dark wood furniture and colors of this comforter brightened the room. The comforter came with decorative pillows. Very stylish and looked beautiful with all the shams and decorative pillows. The comforter does have volume. I’ve ordered comforters online and the picture showed this big fluffly comforter but what you receive is a flat cheap looking comforter. This particular comforter has enough to look impressive. I also layer my bedding to give a fuller look. The concerns came when you tested out the feel of the comforter. Very hard stiff and scratchy. The thread count is not very high. I thought maybe washing would soften. But I was concerned that I could not be able to returned if it did not hold up in the wash. It does not look cheap after putting it together but it had a cheap feel. I decided to return because the comforter was just plain uncomfortable. I would use for show vs function and I need both. I would recommend if these issues are not a concern. It looks beautiful. How it will hold up in wash; that’s always the million dollar questions. I would wash on delicate and use Woolite gentle detergent. Sorry I neglected to get photos before returning. The bed looked beautiful with this comforter. ... show more

Pretty colors.. It is the perfect gray and soft creme. For the price it is the quality you would expect since our major designers now manufacture overseas. Not the quality of yesteryear but by todays standards it is. The fill is just fluffy polyester so it won't hold up to people or pets lounging on the bed on top of the comforter. I love that it reverses to a stripe. I'm doing my grown sons old room in these colors because they are his favorite but I wanted something that could be used as a guest room too. The bed is a queen so I bought the King as per the reviews. It fits like an oversized queen. I would not get this if you have a thick King mattress. The throw pillows are nice, the roses are actually embroidered on the pillow which was a nice surprise. My only complaint is that the covers aren't removable. The pillow fill is nothing more than polyester fluff so they likely won't wash well which isn't great for a white pillow. Even if they just sit they need to be washed to maintain the bright whiteness. The Rose pillow is the only thing with the true bright white which I really like because it will enable me to use a bright white bedskirt and sheets for guests. Overall I'm really pleased with this set. It was exactly what I was looking for not to mention the Amazon price is bar far the best on the internet. One department store has this exact set "on sale" for twice the price. They say the list price is $460 so you really can't go wrong here. Beautiful set. ... show more

Don't ever wash it or it will never be the same. The dog barfed up on the end so we had to wash it. We followed the care instructions to the letter and after it came out of the dryer, all the fill was bunched up at the end of the comforter and it will not lay flat and smooth anymore. If you look at the overall construction of it, there are very few crossways stitches in it to keep the fill from moving around. This is most likely why this happened. It always fit a bit small and the material was ok but not anything close to a high end comforter, but we were ok with it till this happened. It's not a light weight blanket and now with all the fill moved to the end, its about 4 or 5 inches thick right where you would normally want to lay your arms over it. Very disappointed in how it turned out, we will probably have to resurrect our old comforter which has gone through the wash several times and still lays nice and flat. ... show more
