  • Beautiful and smooth with a deep, full sound
When you get the guitar it is boxed nicely. The next thing is that it is well made. The buttons are solid. Change the strings! I dropped in some .09 set from daddario. You will have to adjust the bridge a bit to get your comfort right, very easy with the bridge screws. A couple of twists and i was ready to jam. When i plugged it in. It had a nice hum. Well grounded. As soon as i started to play i understood what everyone says about SS frets. It feels like butter. It looks like They will last way longer then the standards on my epiphone strat that i grinded down playing during the pandemic. The neck is nice and smooth, the ease to get to the last frets was also nice. Within a few minutes i was cranking out chords and it felt getting accustomed to it was going to be easy. Its worth the value, the humbuckers sound great and the tones have a good range. Hook this up to your current setup and you will get that deeper jazzy/blues sounds you expect, snap up to lead from rhythm and adjust the tone and now you get that higher twang similar to a tele: versatile, solid and a good weight. If you want an upgrade from the standard starter guitars, grab a latitude. Easy to bend and hammer/POs. ... show more

  • Incredible LP style guitar that plays great! Incredible LP style guitar that plays great!
Wow I love this guitar! Plays and sounds fantastic. Looks incredible. The finish is flawless. Literally the only thing I had to do was tune it up. Neck is comfortable. Stainless steel frets with no sharp edges. The neck is straight and no high frets. It's already setup with low action. Also has a real bone nut. It's unbelievable that this is only $359. You really can't go wrong with this guitar. ... show more

  • Needed a setup to be playable
This is my first fairly inexpensive guitar in quite a long time. Amazing what you can get for the money today. I bought this on a whim after seeing a few YT reviews and wanting to add a LP style guitar to my collection. Was packed well and no damage. After tuning it up, I had major fret buzz on five of six strings when fretting the 1st fret. After a little truss rod adjustment I got rid of it. Placing a straight edge on frets 1-3, the 2nd fret is higher than 1 or 3 so I guess a little filing would be the correct fix. Also, the three way PU switch was put in upside down so "treble" was neck PU and Rhythm was bridge. Some frets are rough but will smooth out. The finish is pretty good with some swirl marks but a quality polish could probably take those out. Overall a very playable guitar but if a beginner purchased it, they probably wouldn't know how to correct the few things my particular one came with without a setup or hooking up with a more experienced guitarist. ... show more

  • So so good! So so good!
The spec is huge and it plays like a dream, can't stop picking this up, the humbuckers sounds great but they are dialled back so not too in your face, stainless steel frets are rolled beautifully, alpha pots in the guitar and a roller bridge, the intonation was spot on and if anything the action was too low for me, no buzzing at all i just raised it a little for my playing style, solid well made fantastic playing guitar, you can't go wrong! ... show more

  • Lots of fret buzz, not much tone.
Sadly, this was unplayable when it arrived. Lots of fret buzz and, in my opinion, the pick-ups are bland. Had to return. Lattitude does make some other really good guitars.

  • Top quality at a incredible price
Got this guitar back in May and I had to hold off on the review because the box had some terrible damage. Looks like someone stepped on the neck. Once opened, and after I inspected the guitar, I was pleased to see no damage at all. Fit and finish was top knotch. I had to give the truss a 1/4 turn, but that's for personal taste. It sounds good, electronics are very well done. I'd buy another without any concerns of factory defects. Very good stuff from Latitude. ... show more

  • Excellent Les Paul Sound
The Latitude Les Paul is an excellent guitar for the price. The Cherry Sunburst that I purchased is absolutely beautiful, flawless, and the Humbucker pickups gives it that authentic Gibson Les Paul sound and sustain.

  • Nice looking but nearly unplayable without major fret work. Nice looking but nearly unplayable without major fret work.
I bought two Latitude guitars models NW-1915 (LP style) and SE-1819 (ES-335 style). While they are beautiful guitars, they both had a major problem with the frets not being level. In fact, they both may be the worst, most uneven frets I have seen on a new guitar. There was extreme fret buzz and fretting out of bent notes in multiple areas of the fretboard. The main problem was the frets were not seated properly and they had not been leveled or crowned. The ends of the frets however, were perfectly rounded and uniform. This leads me to believe the frets are cut and tooled with the near perfect rounded ends and then installed in the fret slots. I mean why would they spend the time to do the fret ends so nicely and leave the frets so unlevel? After seating the frets properly and leveling the fretboard, the guitar plays great. There were a couple other problems. First, the wiring from the output jack to the toggle switch and from the switch to the pots was unshielded. That's about 2 feet of unshielded cable! That is pretty much unheard of. Also the toggle switch was installed upside down with the down position selecting the rhythm PU (easy fix). The pickups are OK but lack a bit of low end and mid crunch. They read 7.65k and 8.45k and seem like decent quality. They are wax potted but are a bit microphonic (if you yell into them with delay on, you can hear your voice). More info: The tuners are pretty good with 18:1 gear ratio. The pots are full size Alpha 500k with .022 caps on tone control. The body is 2 piece mahogany. The top is nicely figured flame maple veneer--NO maple cap. The "carved top" described is just the mahogany body carved with maple veneer over it. The neck is 1 piece mahogany with mahogany reinforcement at body joint. The frets are medium jumbo and are .049 in. high. The guitar sounds good acoustically and the woods used seem impressive. I did contact Latitude Guitars and advised them of the problems with the guitar. I hope they use the feedback to improve the quality of their guitars. They could be very nice guitars with better quality control. ... show more
