Nicely packaged with everything needed for installation. Will update my experience here with newest update at top. 12/14/22 - Emailed customer service, got a response quickly suggesting trouble shooting. (Check for correct connections etc.) Tested with cigarette lighter attachment, worked fine. Turns out, the circuit I was connecting lights to didn’t have enough voltage. Once I addressed power issue on my camper, lights work correctly. Will update once installed. 12/13/22 ~ I tested the light strip before installation (thankfully), and the lights only show dim red light. If I press just about any other color button, the lights go out. Also, the mode buttons don't really work correctly. Waiting for a reply from customer service to see if I can get a replacement. ... show more

The lights are a bit difficult to get into the track. I had 1 set that lost the red LEDs so contacted the seller and they were very happy to send me a replacement. I would buy again.

Just installed 4 kits on our new 2022 27' Airstream Flying Cloud. Looks awesome. The RF remote controls all 4 kits at once. I have 2 x 30' kits running from front hitch to entire length of the rig to right across the the rear bumper. Then 2x12' kits installed behind the rock guards. All separately fused switched power hookups into waterproof configuration inside the battery box. Alot of customization I can do with this setup and also can power down from the switches for added safety so don't draw any juice accidentally from the batteries. Helpful if dry camping/boondocking. Only issue I have which I emailed LatchIt about was the synchronization of the led controllers so timing and light color changes of the 4 kits are fluid and running together. No matter how I try to set the programming with the RF remote they always seem to go off timing. Hoping there is something that can be done to program all 4 so are running close enough that when you want color changing options they will all change same colors together. We will see if these stand the test of time and use. One thing I noticed is to be careful making tight bends with the led strip as they can easily damage and the strip will stop functioning/lighting after that point of the bend if you damage. ... show more

This product does work pretty well as a replacement or addition. They are bright, has lots of color options/patterns if you want them and are dimmable too almost off. The install took me some time and I don’t feel like I’m a novice at this kind of thing. The biggest hang up was the individual track pieces wrapped in a very thin protective film. The use of protective film is a nice idea but a pain to get off. Also lining up each track drove me nuts. I’m not sure why they don’t just use a flexible track you can roll out and cut to fit your needs. The provided track is light weight and I’m not sure how well it will hold up to the heat in my area. All in all I’m satisfied with the lights performance. If something changes for good or worse I’ll update this. ... show more

I only got to use them on about 4 camping trips, but they work great. Install was pretty easy to. I tapped into the factory patio light so I can turn them on and off with the wall switch.

UPDATE: It appears the color RED no longer works. Otherwise still useful as a light, but not the range of colors. Which is unfortunate as I leave it color fade mode. Installed under the 19' awning on a class A motorhome. So I had to cut the 20' led strip down to 19' without any issues. I sealed the end with silicone [not provided] and capped it with the supplied end cap to seal from the weather. I had to get over the fact that I needed to drill a hole through the side of the motorhome to run the 12v power for a clean professional looking installation. Is what it is, otherwise, I'd have to use an extension from a 12v aux power port and run the cord. I extended the awning and made the hole a the top where the awning bracket meets the rain gutter on the roof so it's hidden, sealed the hole with silicone after the power wire as installed. Just remember to leave the IR receiver for the remote sticking through to control the lights. I spent some time preping the mounting surface and the mounting tracks with the supplied wipes. Install the 3M tape to the tracks first then carefully mount to the RV. Take your time and plan the line you'll follow as this tape doesn't like to come off once attached. Then run the LED strip, pulling off the tape as you go. Basically, I just read and followed the directions. They were pretty clear. The install took a couple of hours, plus some time for the head-scratching figuring out my power. Longevity? Don't know yet. Time will tell, but I don't follow up with an update on how long this lasted, then assume it's still working. It appears to be a good weather tight quality. The color fade option is a slow, smooth transition through all the colors. Not blinking or jerky like other color changing LEDs tend to do. The fade option does not appear to be dimmable, but the other options including a steady single color do dim with the remote. Wish the holding strip has longer than 1’ time consuming. Wish the kit came with something to hold the wire to the camper. They are bright. The remote works good from 20’ away. My remote isn’t labeled right for all the color and strobe or fade feature. But for $50 I’d buy again
