The first thing I noticed in trying these boots on was that the Boot Shafts were soft. Typically when I start wearing new boots, they start digging holes in my shins and I have to use bandaids to keep them from cutting gouges and these don’t do that ! I lived in Singapore and it’s so hard to come by a good and comfortable cowboy boots, especially the market for them is so low, not many Asians would wear them. So, ol' batchelor me got married. My wife had her fancy boots, I only had work boots, I needed something a little nicer. I didn't want to drop $300 on a new pair, so I tried these. First off, while they aren't real leather, you'd be hard pressed to tell. The black took a real good shine, and they're still looking great. The little metal accents may try to work themselves loose-mine did not. The only thing I will say, while the size is dead on, the width isn't the greatest. This could be a fault of the boot, or the design of the pointed toe, I'm sure it's a combination of the two. Whatever your width, go one size up and you'll be good to go.
