I was wary of all the glowing reviews for this bag, but decided to take a chance, and I am so glad. work and homeschool at home, and we are constantly moving from place to place, so I bought this bag as an "in-house" project bag, to carry my art and business supplies from room to room, and it works beautifully for that, but I also took it on a cross country trip as a travel backpack, and it was fantastic. It has an obviously well-thought out design, with many pockets, all of which have more than one possible use, it holds an extraordinary amount of stuff (and is well balanced when worn on both shoulders), and it is exceptionally sturdy. Clearly, people who actually use backpacks and understand functionality were involved in creating this bag. The only warning I have - and it's not really a reason to knock off any star, but some people might need to know - is that the zipper design at the top is a little awkward and sometimes needs to be closed with two hands. It allows for the bag to sit open, without flopping, which is fantastic, but some people might need to know in advance that it needs two hands to close at times. ... show more

    • Satisfying and Practical Backpack for Laptop Around Town.
Just received this backpack, it's so nice and impressive, I felt compelled to write a review. Let's start with the outer side pockets (2), they are pleated, so they can expand to a pretty large size (remember those old Gatorade bottles that were super wide, yeah it can do that). Next, the magnets for the cover flap, quite strong and hold in place. Three total outside wide pockets. Let's move to the inside; plenty of pockets all the way around. Two main sleeves for laptop and tablet. Then there's the outside usb port connected to the inside via cable for your power pack with it's own zippered pocket, nice! The fabric is a nice patterned grey (hides stains and spots, when it gets there) and seems pretty sturdy and resistant to abrasions. I checked the stitching and it seems good, won't know 'till time tells. The main front pocket will organize your pens and pencils, plus has a detachable key holder. The top opening stays open with metal rim; really great, no hassle it folding down on you while you accommodate things. The top also has a separate handle so you can carry it like a tote. I'm realy happy with this and just waiting for my new laptop to use it. Update: Have been using with laptop and has worked as expected. Only one caveat, I live in the tropics and it makes me sweat through my back; but thats' me as I sweat a lot anyway. Five stars ramain. ... show more

I really like this bag and even though some of the reviews had me a bit worried I decided to go with it. The price was great, not too expensive but still had what I desired in a bag, a ton of pockets to keep items separated. The opening of the bag has a rigid opening, it’s sturdy so it’s not going to flop like other bags, there is metal framing in the zipper area. In addition to the regular back straps the bag has two straps to hold the bag from the top. I’ll list the pockets: inside in the sides there are two pocket where you hold things like pens or a cell phone etc. INSIDE of one of the pockets, on the side is a zipper for you to place a portable battery pack to charge your phone (a cord is provided to connect the battery pack to the bag and the port to charge is connected to the outside of the bag. Also inside on the back of the bag is a padded pocket where you can slide in a laptop and a slightly smaller pocket (also padded) where you can probably slide in a tablet device or even notebooks, I use mine for notebooks. On the inside, but on the front of the bag is another pocket, smaller and zippered but still deep enough to hold items and attached to that pocket are two open pocket sections. On the outside of the front are two pockets one abode another but the one above does reach down to the bottom of the bag and is basically behind the lower pocket. The lower pocket is typical of all book bags but the inside can hold a lot of items. I’ll attach a picture for this. There is also a zippered pocket in this section, behind the open pockets, and a smaller open mesh section. In this pocket is a small keychain to attach your keys to so they don’t get lost in the bag. Additionally, on each side of the outside are two deep pockets with elastic tight to whatever water bottles you place in there. The pockets are deeper than I expected (good thing), bottles won’t fall out. Lastly but certainly not least (I almost missed it), is a hidden pocket on the back of the bag (between the straps) it is barely noticeable. Over all the bag seems great, sturdy and professional. The straps are comfortable, and the fabric seems durable. My ONLY complaints are that the button snaps on the front of the bag seem kind of loose, but because the pocket there is zippered it should be okay and the “leather” trim seems just kind of “meh”, but the color is good. Also…you’ll have to provide your own battery pack, the bag just has a connection to plug in the phone, it won’t charge it without the pack attached to the inside. ... show more

OK, so I wanted a backpack that was comfortable to carry, big enough to hold all my things and just enough pockets/compartments that I could find things without a map! This backpack fits the bill! First of all, the material is actually better than I expected. The pockets on each side makes it easy to carry both my water bottle and soda. I’ve stopped carrying my purse because I can slide my wallet right in the back pocket and cellphone in front with my lipstick. My laptop charger fits perfectly in one of the side pockets inside the bag and I drop my badge and keys in the other side pocket. It fits comfortably on my back and the straps are nicely padded. I do love the top handles that I use when I’m not carrying my laptop. Overall, I am extremely happy with this purchase. ... show more

I've had this backpack for two years now, using it everyday to and from work & school. It has been extremely durable and has held up very well. Honestly, looks the same as when I bought it. No frays, no rips, no worn pieces. Love the way the top opens wide so you can easily load/unload and see inside to find what you need. Very roomy with lots of convenient pockets. It is a great bag.
