I would give this fab hat 5 stars, except for the faulty clips that hold the strap on. I used the neck strap every day on my trip to Italy, until about one week in. That’s when I noticed that the clip had bent (plastic) and the cord slipped off. I tried to fix it a few different times, but it continued to break. I loved having the strap because I could take the hat off and continue to wear it around my neck. So I was really super bummed that it no longer functioned . I did continue to wear the hat, just being very careful not to lose it. That being said, it is a great hat. It looks good, very stylish and went with all of my Italian outfits. It blocked the strong sun. Just saying, I won’t and can’t pack it on my next adventure. ... show more

I’m very happy with the construction of this hat. My head measures 22 inches. After cinching up the tabs provided, the medium fit perfect. And, if I go on a boat ride I will attach the chin strap provided.

This hat is adorable. Love the look of it. It shipped with a plastic "mold" on it. Which was nice because it arrived perfectly in shape.... but that immediately made me wonder about how good it would actually be for travel. It then made me wonder....is the plastic mold meant to be used for travel? But then why is it advertised as a "roll up" hat? Instructions were included for adjusting the sizing of the inside band and how to attach the strap....but no instructions for how to pack it so it springs back into shape. For something that is advertised for travel it sure would be nice if they explained just how it's meant to be rolled up or folded. Some reviewers say that they folded it in half, some say they rolled it....and it seems like there's mixed reviews on how well the hat holds up to that. Some recommend not rolling or folding it at all because they said it lost its shape. Others say its held up well with lots of travel. So...time will tell which one it is. I would imagine it really depends on how you pack it so... I am extremely disappointed that there's no info on how best to do that. ... show more
