The Laneige Neo Blurring Powder is a terrific new product. I was initially hesitant because my skin is super fair, I don’t wear a lot of makeup, and I recently entered the over 60 realm. But their lip sleeping mask has long been part of my evening ritual—I actually can’t fall asleep if I’m not wearing it, so I wanted to give this a try. My experience with this blurring powder has been equally iconic. I have tried similar products that left my skin pasty and sticky, but this one goes on like magic. Laneige provides VERY detailed instructions for its use and care. The puff is huge—expanding even further when you pop it open. The surface is covered with a sticker explaining everything about the use; it can also be reapplied to help keep the surface clean. The surface covering the powder has tiny slits in alternating directions; you have to gently press the puff into it to release very small amounts of the powder. You don’t need much but can add coverage as needed. And it definitely does what it claims—it works subtly to blur pores and has a matte finish that looks great all day. I have never used a powder that works so well that it needed no additional application—my shiny t zone remained under control until I washed my face in the evening. The instructions specifically state that the rubbery surface has to be kept clean, I suppose so the slits don’t become clogged. As I wrote earlier, the instruction sticker really helps with this. The case itself is excellent; the hard plastic top opens with a mirror and the puff, then another plastic layer separates that from the powder. The case itself is very sturdy, so you can easily toss it in your bag and not worry about it breaking or spilling. My one issue is probably unavoidable. Because you apply this over moisturizer, base, or foundation, the puff picks up some of that color which is very noticeable after even the first use. I imagine that while the compact itself is low maintenance, the puff is going to require more cleaning than your typical brush. The Laneige Neo Blurring powder at $25 is not inexpensive, but it works well and seems to have a gracious amount of product. Its delivery time on Amazon is now listed at one to three weeks so I imagine other users are spreading the word! PS I just washed the puff with a little face soap and cool water. The makeup washed right off and it dried quickly, almost good as new.

Simply wow! I work for a tech retail store and recently we had an event where we all had to work extended hours. It was a crazy hectic day, where usually my makeup would melt off by midday. I used this powder and and it stayed in place without making me look shiny for over 12 hours! Additionally, it doesn’t make you look super matte or dry either. It gives you a slight blur effect. Truly amazing stuff! I received so many compliments about my makeup.

This is a pretty good sized compact and I like the way the puff is separated from the powder by an attached plastic piece. I'm not sure how well the color correction works but it does blur so I've kept using it. I didn't know the brand but was recommended as a blurring powder.

To my fellow shiny-faced people, this stuff is nothing short of a miracle. I always sweat from my hairline/face first, which leaves me looking shiny if I do anything even remotely active. I've worn this several days now where I've definitely felt the sweat forming on my face but when I looked in a mirror later, no shine! It gives a really nice matte finish that doesn't look overdone and isn't obvious you're wearing a powder (which we know is an all too common problem with powders). I don't know how this would hold up with intense sweating but for daily wear, I highly recommend. It's pricey, but for someone who has been searching for an answer to my shiny problem for years, it's worth it. And you don't need to use much either, so it should last for a bit.

While the powder goes on sheer and does mattify, it makes any imperfections on your face more visible, if you don’t wear too much makeup underneath. I have some redness and small capillaries around my nose and they become more visible with this powder on, so I have to apply extra foundation underneath, which wasn’t my original goal. Same thing with pores. If you have large pores and wear minimal makeup they’ll still be visible unless you apply primer and foundation first. So, if you have perfect skin and your goal is the mattifying effect then this powder works, but if you are like the rest of us and have skin imperfections you’ll need to apply extra makeup underneath for better coverage.

I didn’t remember ordering this because it took so long to arrive but I will say it does the job. It mattes my skin tone without taking away the glow. I’m not sure how it works but it does. The design of the compact itself is nice too, everything is well thought out and unique, I just love it.

This powder is sort of like witchcraft! It really does what it says, and that just a light application provides beautiful blurring and modifying of the skin. It’s very light, and looks great even on my 50+ year-old skin. It does not accentuate creases or lines at all. Will definitely be buying this product again

If I out a lot there is a slight white cast on my brown skin. So I use it sparingly. But this is blurring and dries up any oil.
