This is a great example of your basic everyday wooden landing net. There's nothing fancy here but it does its job. The finish is a little rough in places and it could use a little more sanding here and there to make it more refined but it works as is. The rubber net is nice because it's less likely to catch on a fish's gills and fins. I've never had a rubber covered net before and I already like it better than the net I'm used to. I really like these soft rubber nets for trout fishing. They don't damage the slime layer on the fish. My only complaint is that some of the holes are a bit on the large side and some of my fish have managed to squeeze through some of the bigger holes. But overall, it works well. Lightweight. It's got some weight to it, not featherlite like that of my other net which has traditional netting material, but for &19.99 this is great deal. And it floats which is always good? Used it this morning on a 16" or so rainbow, I really liked the rubber elastic webbing it was easier to remove the hook out of. But it does make the net heavier which really is of no difference to me. Seems well built, not sensing that the stitching will come undone any time soon. Nice little net that's perfect for kayak fishing. The design is nice and it's easy to hold in one hand for landing your catch. The rubber netting is nice to keep the net clean and makes removing hooks easier. A tether is included on the bottom of the handle for wrapping around your wrist so you don't lose the net.
