Absolutely gorgeous tank!! Beyond any/all expectations I had! Well made, thick glass, super strong/sturdy. Arrived in perfect condition in a huge wooden crate. I’ve had this tank a couple weeks now and couldn’t be happier. I got the 44 gallon, it’s beautiful.

Very nice tank. It is much heavier because the glass is thicker. It is intended to be open top. Although you can buy a glass top for it. Landen makes it but they don't make it easy for you to find it nor the size needed. Without a top, the older external filter is going to cause lots of splashing. Now, I have to look into a canister filter or a submersible filter. Canister filters are expensive. Submersible filters are cheaper, but much less efficient and take away from the aesthetics of the tank. Also the old tank light has to be replaced with a over-the-top light source. ... show more

Leaked after 3 days, seam is splitting. Ruined the finish on a 60yo antique credenza, and discolored the hardwood floors. Tank was level, mat was under it. I owned an aquarium store for nearly a decade, don't recall a new aquarium failure in that entire time. Nanos to 1000gal custom tanks. This is a 5gal, zero excuse for a bad seam with such little pressure involved. I took a few years off aquariums after selling the store. This was my toe dip back into it. Update: I’m very happy with this tank. I’ve had it for a while and it’s been cycling now for a couple of weeks. I siliconed my own sump in the back corner to create an all-in-one type aquarium. I forgot to mention before the company also sent me the starter kit pictured here. I didn’t order it with the tank so thank you for the starter kit. I have heard nothing but positives about the customer service at this company and just the little kit to me shows they are a great company who makes gorgeous tanks. So far, so good. The aquarium came packaged in a crate, it was a bit difficult to get out but that’s just fine because it was very well protected. I did a leak test on it and inspected silicone, so far, no leaks! I got the 55gal. I don’t know if it states this tank comes with a mat and some filtering material but it did. I am very pleased so far. I am fully leveling this tank today and will update if anything changes post fish! My cat is even ignoring it haha which I am thankful for. ... show more
