  • Not sure if it will last
It's a nice carport but for where I live. It's not sturdy and strong enough to withstand the monsoon and crazy weather changes we get here in AZ. I had hubby assemble he didn't have to many issues with it. But I can tell you we set it up far from the homestead than we would like since we are worried if won't last long and didn't want it to ruin our home. We have seen the wind pick up canopies and umbrella and throw them around when we get dust devils. For now it will work temporarily for shade and protection for our vehicles. ... show more

  • Good frame but missing one important detail
This carport is fairly easy to assemble. The only tool needed is a large phillips screwdriver (for the support bars). I put this together by myself in less than an hour. With two people it would go quicker. I like that each of the bar snaps into place (paddle spring snap clips) without the need for tools. The tarp is securely held on with ball-bungee loops through grommets along the tarp edge. Each pole leg has 2 holes that can be used to bolt the carport down. Once the legs are bolted down the frame seems pretty strong to hold up to most weather conditions. I temporarily put weights on each leg until I have a chance to bolt them down. Now for what I don't like and subtracted stars for. The supporting braces for each corner do NOT align properly. The holes on the bars are not at the correct angle, so the only way I can connect these braces is to bend them. This is a major design flaw and I would have subtracted more points if the rest of the frame did seem so sturdy. The next issue is more minor, the quality of the top is what you would expect from a decent tarp but not what I consider heavy duty. I expect it will only last a couple of years... but at least replacement tops can be purchased. ... show more

  • Protection for my boat while we've been working on the garage.
This worked out great for my situation. I needed something to put over my boat to get it out of the elements for some time while we worked on the garage and driveway. It's a summer project that's been taking a good bit of time to complete, and I needed to park my boat outside while it was going on. Even though there is a cover for our boat, I wasn't going to be able to put it in my driveway, so it was going to be parked around the back side of my house near the back of the property. In an area where it's not uncommon to have stuff fall from the trees like small branches, leaves, and all kinds of other debris every time we get winds and rain. Also, we'd already had two very heavy and unexpected hail storms come through in the previous month that did a good bit of damage to people's vehicles. My boat is much newer than any of my vehicles, so while I don't stress some hail dents on my old truck, I was not looking forward to a storm coming through and tearing apart the cover on the boat, then wreaking havoc on the interior. I was hoping to find something to help out some with this. So that's where this carport canopy comes into play. I wanted something as an extra barrier between my boat and the elements and this has been perfect. It's easy to set up, and can be as temporary as it needs to be. So far it's held up well to the rain and such we've had come through since setting it up. Overall I'm very happy with it. It's serving my purpose perfectly! ... show more

  • Easy assembly, corner braces don't align
This was easy to assemble, despite the lack of instructions. There was one sheet included that listed the parts and then a single diagram showing a rough idea of how it fits together. It feels very lightweight and you'll absolutely need to anchor it or hold the legs down in some way. The tarp canopy feels very thin and lightweight. My main issue with this is that in the corners there are braces, but the holes do not align to screw in the braces, so you are lacking significant structural support. ... show more

  • Sturdy
Sturdy but canopy is not for heavy winds. The frame is perfect for any weather but the ca opy attachments do not work well in winds above 20 mph. I am very happy with the canopy. I am looking for better ways to attach the canopy as I love in a windy area.

  • Excellent quality to withstand Minnesota’s harsh and varied weather.
I ordered this to store my boat under. Assembly is required and needs two people. I tried to assembly this by myself and needed a second person to help lift the top section and attach the legs. The instructions were simple and easy to follow, however, even with another person this took around three hours to put together. The legs are galvanized steel and are large in diameter. I don’t believe the legs would fail under any of the normal circumstances experienced durable regular use. The tarp seems to be thicker than normal and should be durable enough to withstand Minnesota’s stormy summer months and cold dreary winter seasons. I was worried that the wind could blow this away so i attached four 18” anchors to each corner. Even though assembly took awhile, I believe it is well worth the price. I would definitely recommend this canopy tent. ... show more

  • LIGHT DUTY - COLLAPSED under 40 mph winds.
**UPDATE 7-21-23** Well I only had this up a few weeks and the canopy has collapsed during a storm yesterday. I'm lucky the car wasn't parked under it as it would absolutely have caused damage to my vehicle. The supports are all bent and I will be disposing of this. THIS TENT IS WORSE THAN USELESS. Original review below: This canopy carport is light duty at best. I assembled this per the instructions, but it is far too wobbly for me to trust it to hold up snow during the winter, the tarp is thinner that I would prefer, and plastic too, not canvas like I would have expected. I did notice that two of the vertical bars were mis-numbered so that the screw holes couldn't be aligned properly with the support bars. I simply had to swap the positions of those two bars, and make sure the bars snapped into the joints for everything to go together properly. I'd also recommend reversing the rear connections so the crossbar screw holes all face the middle. Unfortunately, this just doesn't feel sturdy after assembly. It wobbles by about 6 inches near the 'gutter' line, and until I put in stakes and attached guy-lines (which didn't come with the canopy) I didn't want to be near it for fear of collapse. So for now, this has my wagon and a few of the less expensive yard tools. I don't plan to keep it up for long though. It's better off in the bin. ... show more
