For the wintertime hobby, I have been experimenting with hydroponics on my bar. It has been wildly successful. Received some basil seeds and used a sugar cube hydroponic grow medium, and the basil number two adored it. I have four more planted in succession. Roots were filling the basin of the hydroponic container, and trimming would not solve it. The dehydrator was not ready to process another basil plant, so it needed a container. The bags come folded, which means when not in use, easy storage as in no pile of pots clattering around. It can hold a plant till you can process a harvest. One bag of 25.7 dry quarts of soil fills the bag with a bit left over on the 5-gallon bag. Handles are sturdy, and it is easy to move the bag around filled with soil. In goes the basil, which shows how large that plant grew. The root system looks like hair. Other plants in the hydroponic system will need transferring, so the bags will let me do that easily, and when it warms up, I can use a bag on my front porch with some Cosmos flowers. Easy to move around and manipulate with the handles even if you tug it around. The bags drain, so also using one to harvest the pecans the winter storms blessed my house with. You can rinse the pecans and the bag drains. Keeping one for outside harvesting of vegetables since pile in, take it to the hose, wash outside, then process the food. Store for subsequent use in a cabinet easily inside. Cost-effective way well to grow things. As the growing season winds down, it could even hold compost or sand for soil enrichment activities.

Not the thickest material but for the price it will do the job! Handle strength seems ok would definitely not trust it a 100% and carry from the bottom.
