  • Easy Assembly and Spacious Design
Color: Silver Size: 12×4×1ft
I recently purchased the Land Guard 12×4×1ft Galvanized Raised Garden Bed Kit, and I must say, I'm absolutely thrilled with my purchase. Not only did it arrive quickly and in perfect condition, but it also provided me with countless hours of laughter and joy. As someone who has always been a bit of a green thumb, I was excited to start my own vegetable garden. But as someone who also has a bit of a knack for clumsiness, I was a little worried about the assembly process. Thankfully, the Land Guard kit was incredibly easy to put together, even for someone like me who once managed to break a nail hammering in a picture frame. Once the kit was assembled, I was amazed at the size of the garden bed. It's super large, which was perfect for my needs. I'm someone who tends to go overboard when it comes to planting, so having all that extra space was a dream come true. I could practically hear my plants cheering when I filled the bed with soil. But the real highlight of this product was watching my husband attempt to move it into place. You see, the Land Guard garden bed is quite large, and my husband is quite...well, not. I'll never forget the sight of him huffing and puffing as he tried to lift it onto the patio. He looked like he was attempting to move a boulder up a mountain. It was hilarious. Overall, I would highly recommend the Land Guard 12×4×1ft Galvanized Raised Garden Bed Kit to anyone looking to start a vegetable garden. It's easy to assemble, spacious, and sure to provide you with endless entertainment. Five out of five stars! Here are some useful tips and tricks that i learn to get the best of your raise bed: 1. Properly prepare the location: Before assembling your Land Guard raised garden bed kit, choose a flat and level location that receives plenty of sunlight. Clear the area of any weeds or debris and level the soil if necessary. 2. Use high-quality soil: The soil in your raised garden bed will play a crucial role in the success of your plants. Choose a high-quality soil mix that is designed for vegetable gardening, and consider adding compost or other organic matter to enrich the soil. 3. Install a weed barrier: To prevent weeds from growing up through the soil in your raised garden bed, consider installing a weed barrier. You can use a layer of cardboard or newspaper, or purchase a weed barrier fabric. 4. Water regularly: Raised garden beds tend to dry out more quickly than traditional gardens, so be sure to water your plants regularly. Depending on the weather conditions and the type of plants you're growing, you may need to water your garden bed every day. 5. Consider adding trellises: If you're growing climbing plants like tomatoes or cucumbers, consider adding trellises to your raised garden bed. This will help support the plants as they grow, and make it easier to harvest the fruits and vegetables. 6. Use natural pest control methods: Instead of using chemical pesticides, consider using natural pest control methods like companion planting or introducing beneficial insects to your garden. This will help keep your plants healthy without harming the environment. 7. Rotate your crops: To prevent soil-borne diseases and pests from building up in your garden bed, rotate your crops each year. This means planting different types of vegetables in different spots each season. 8. Mulch your garden bed: Mulching your raised garden bed can help retain moisture in the soil and prevent weeds from growing. Consider using a natural mulch like straw or shredded leaves. 9. Harvest regularly: To keep your plants healthy and encourage continued growth, be sure to harvest your fruits and vegetables regularly. This will also help prevent over-ripening and spoilage. 10. Take care of your garden bed: To ensure the longevity of your Land Guard raised garden bed kit, be sure to clean and maintain it regularly. Remove any debris or dead plants, and inspect the metal for signs of rust or corrosion. ... show more

  • Raised beds for growing vegetables without use of toxic chemicals - apartment patios to back yards. Raised beds for growing vegetables without use of toxic chemicals - apartment patios to back yards.
Color: Silver Size: 6×3×1ft(3-Pack)
When my wife and I decided to grow our vegetables in raised garden beds, following the brutal attack we suffered by potato worms. We had probably 50 beautiful tomato plants growing in a section of our garden in our backyard. We went down every day and checked on them when we watered and weeded around them. One afternoon I noticed one of the plants look like it had either been broken off or it was eaten off. We spent the next couple of afternoons going down and looking to see if we could find if there was some kind of a pest that has made themselves a buffet of our potatoes. We didn’t find anything during the sunlight hours. I told my wife we need to check it for a nocturnal feeding bug. That evening, as soon as it was dark outside, we grabbed our flashlights and headed down to the potato patch. Within just a few minutes, I heard my wife yelling that she had found the worm. There was 20 of them in our plastic bucket when we finished looking for others. Several of our neighbors grow their vegetables in raised garden beds. My wife spoke with to the couple across the street. Their backyard has six large raised beds covered with plastic, plus a few others that are not covered. She told my wife they’ve never had a problem with any garden pests with voracious eating habits. After my wife assembled the three raised bed, she was able carry them to the spot in the back yard where she wanted them. I was blown away at how sturdy these beds are. You can also take them apart and store them over the winter in your shed. These are easy to an assemble and move, once the soil is removed. We placed 4 - 1 inch pvc pipes in 4 corners and 2 in the middle of your bed. We then take 3 10 foot schedule 10 pvc pipes into the 1 inch pvc pipes, to make a hoop. We then took the thickest clear vinyl sheet we could buy over the loop structure covering the raised bed. We are now waiting for our second set of seeds to germinate. Our first seeds germinated in or indoor grow room, under grow lights. We planted them about a week before East Texas was hit by two days of freezing weather. We managed to save 6 tomato plants. I started regrowing new plants under our grow lights. Now that the weather is stabilizing (this is what we are praying for) we will replant the new seedlings. Our gardening adventure has changed, since we first started trying to raise our own vegetables, with the need of chemical sprays to control pests. We left room inside the beds, so we can line beneficial plants around it. What we’ve read about and watched on YouTube explain how vegetable garden pests are repelled by various flowering plants. One YT video showed how a sacrificial plant can be planted close to your plants. The bugs will attracted to it, but not your vegetables. These three beds are 6 feet by 3 feet. You can also find these in smaller sizes so you can grow vegetables on your patio if you live in an apartment. You can grow tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers or other vegetables you would like to eat fresh. Before we started preparing The area we were going to place our five different raised garden beds. We had to find some that we could afford. Scrolling through Amazon I found the first three at a price there was more than reasonable. At the large box store that’s just a mile away from us. They had a similar raised bed for about the price of what we bought all three raised beds for. They were delivered very promptly. My wife sat down in the living room and within 45 minutes she had all three of them assembled. They are now sitting in our backyard. Our next step, to fill them with our planting soil mix we’ve used for the last three years. This year we’ve changed our garden soil mix. In The last three years we’ve used a combination of three different ingredients: Black cow manure 1 yd.³, Pete Moss one cubic yard (this is sold in a 3 yd.³ bag so you have to break It up into three equal parts“ and then a native topsoil to the area in which you live. You mix these together and you have one of the best growing soils that I’ve ever seen. We’ve use this mixture with success for three years. But this year we learned of a place here in town that sells Mushroom Compost. My wife and I have grown a garden in the area for over 15 years. We’ve successfully raised tomatoes, squash, zucchini, green beans and cantaloupes. In the years we’ve raised vegetables in this area we’ve never had a worm or bug attack killing everything we planted. Our neighbors told us before they put their bedding soil in their raised bed, they used diatomaceous earth then laid cardboard over the top. On top of the cardboard they put about 4 inches of straw, before covering it their special mix of topsoil; Pete Moss, a Manure mixture and a native top soil. ... show more

  • Easy to assemble
Color: Silver Size: 6×3×1ft(3-Pack)
The product goes together well and seems to be strong enough for their purpose for raised beds. I am pleased overall with quality. I will add however, that the screws used for assembly should be thicker in diameter (too small), and the heads of the screws tend to strip out, meaning the material strength is lacking. ... show more

  • Could be better but still are good
Color: Gray Size: 8×4×1ft(2-Pack)
Setup was easy and fast. The look great in our garden. The metal does bend easily and is a little flimsy but once filled they seemed better. Extra screws in the packaging was nice as well.

These are great! Do not believe the negative reviews. They are 4' x 12' (when assembled correctly). They are easy to put together if you pay attention to the diagrams; took my wife and I about 2 hours to assemble 4 of them (that was with stopping for lunch and taken a break for coffee) she is 68 and I am 72. They are light and easy to transport to the garden location. I would recommend using a couple of sawhorses with boards between to reduce the amount of time being bent over. ... show more

  • Not 12 ft Not 12 ft
Color: Silver Size: 12×4×1ft(2-Pack)
I like the quality and they seem sturdy but the measurements aren't even close to true measure 11ft 2in. Its extra frustrating when I ordered 4 sets of these and planned my entire layout around them actually being 12' long. I over ordered the entire drip irrigation system to length and will have to dig and re level part of the garden since they wont fit into the already level location. It may not of been a big deal to most but I planned my garden rows 24' with two these length wise and now im over 20" short which effects then either back row which is also gonna be rasied beds. Not to mention half of the order showed up on time now the rest of the order is arriving 4 days later and I had actually taken a extended weekend using vacation time so I could have them in and installed to strat transplanting my seedlings. ... show more

  • Some issues
Color: Silver Size: 12×4×1ft(2-Pack)
I had some issues with the truss rods while installing those support rods I had noticed one in particular was not threaded on one end. Being that I’m very capable and skilled when it comes to mechanic abilities I had ran a die to create new threads so I could assemble the unit, but unfortunately the rod itself was too thin to develop the proper thread size to have a good fitting with the nuts and that was more than likely why the threads were not already established on arrival so I had welded the rod to another one as it’s a two piece system and that has resolved the issue so I could assemble the raised bed. It’s hard to review these raised beds due to this particular issue because I’m sure if I would have contacted customer service this issue wouldn’t have come down to me doing any repairs but I took it on myself to repair them as I was capable and didn’t want to wait to go that route due to time restraints for establishing a garden in time for the season. I feel quality inspections should have caught this so that’s why I lowered it to three stars. The panels are thinner than expected but I think with the overall construction of these it shouldn’t cause any issues with handling the weight of the dirt it retains and should perform well enough. It also seems to be coated with zinc paint rather than being a standard galvanized material which again isn’t as prime but should also perform well enough for their price point. Overall I feel they were a good investment they are good looking in appearance and are priced very well. I would purchase more of these in the future if needed, so other than the manufacture flaw missed by quality inspections I would have rated them a 4 or more. ... show more
